Alexander and Jennifer Bodnar are the parents of Alexis who is one of our newest members at HRFA. We welcome Alexis to the Federation and wish God’s blessings on her life. Peggy Fabri, Branch Manger and Area Fraternal Coordinator Tel: (724) 843-6162 Alexis Jessica Bodnar is a member of the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Pittsburgh. She received her confirmation June 4, 2006. She is a member of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America with two policies. She has just finished 8th grade at Frick International Studies Academy middle school. In February 2007 with her swim team they won the City of Pittsburgh Boys and Girls Championship. She plays volleyball and recently tried out for the school soccer team and was accepted. She is a very well versed gymnast veteran and her plans are to share what she has learned and teach the younger children in gymnastics at Gymkhana. Alexis has been a High Honor Roll student since 6th Grade and a into the National Honor Roll Society. In addition to being a good student and athlete, Alexis has been involved in representing the Hungarian Heritage at the Pittsburgh Folk Festival since she was one year old, and for the last few years has helped in the display booth - block printing, egg painting and learning embroidery from the Gyimesi girls, Zsuzsanna and Kati. She is a great help at the Jozsa Corner Hungarian Restaurant cleaning, decorating, organizing, making palacsinta, langos and assisting in cooking preparation - stirring Gulyas, Káposztás Tészta, Székely Gulyas, cleaning vegetables and preparing hors d’ouvres trays. Alexis will be very busy this season at the Pittsburgh Folk Festival and she is looking for recruiting more families and youth to work in representing the Hungarian Heritage - in display, costumed dance songs and music, a full bazaar representation, and a well versed food service and preparation of Hungarian hospitality. These are four independent important commitments. National Beta member. This year she was accepted As most of you know last year Peggy Fabri was honored by the National Fraternal Congress for her fraternal work though the HRFA. Now, Jim Marshall, Pennsylvania State Representative, presented Peggy and her husband Joseph Fabri with a House citation recognizing Peggy’s accomplishments.
