Pennsylvania District Meeting The Pennsylvania District Meeting was held in the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Pittsburgh. The host was Reverend Ilona Komjáthy, who was her usual gracious self, and Director Joe Fabri led the meeting. Attendees included the Reverend Jalso who said the opening prayer, the Reverend Bertalan who said the closing prayer, Reverend Posta, Olga Dar- nay, Bert Olah, and our first independent agent, Tom Kocis of Uniontown. The entire Fabri clan, including Renee Maldonato, attended the meeting. One of the major highlights was the presentation of the Citation given by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to Peggy Fabri for her excellent fraternal work. Mr. Fabri opened up the meeting describing his experience in joining HRFA and how he was able to become number one in sales. He spoke about the Fraternal activities and how his wife, Peggy was instrumental in his success. Mr. Balogh followed by asking each person in the room to introduce themselves and to talk about a few of their activities. He spoke about some of the fraternal activities that made HRFA successful, and how we are starting to attract young people, and how the financial situation at HRFA is starting to turn around thanks to these efforts. He opened up the discussion to ask about some of the issues that HRFA is facing. These issues are an aging sales force and the lack of product knowledge. A number of questions came up and Mr. Kocis, our new independent agent with multiple insurance designations, was able to inform us of the latest regulations. Mr. Les Megyeri, our Secretary/Treasurer, gave his report on the current financial situation, which is improving slightly, but the revenues need to be substantially increased. Mr. Megyeri also held a question and answer session which helped participants understand some of the product nuances. dffe JMoust of 3Repreaentaii&e» (Hitatinn 3©ljercas.1 he Hause of Representatives of Pen nsyivania takes great pleasu re in recognizing those indbddwts who, through dedication and excellence, contribute ina meaningful way to the well-being of theircommun ities and ultimately to alt theiteople of this great Common Wealth; and ÜHUjcrra© Margaret Fabri was honored as a Fraternal Most Valuable Participant by the National Fraternal Congress of America in Washington.
