Mischák István, Titkár Tel: (219) 947-1825 Branch 35— Detroit, MI Shortly after we got finished with collecting the clothing items for the Appalachian Project, we were already on to our next activity. Branch and church members were very enthusiastic about participating in Operation Christmas Child. The 49 packages prepared with love for the needy children around the world were delivered to the collection center by the Vice President of the Branch Mr. Desider Tarkanyi and his wife Margaret. Right at the beginning of Advent, Branch Manager Katalin Varga, once again organized the Advent by Candlelight program at the American Hungarian Reformed Church. This event was spiritually uplifting for Branch members and church members alike. A week before the holiday, the Sunday School students gave a Christmas Musical. The well known The Christmas Musical was performed by children who are both members and non-members melodies and the upbeat music turned out to be a great performance and was well received by the audience. Participants from Branch 35 were Alexeys Hladchuk, Denise Kontos, and Zachary Vargo. All the children received a holiday candy package from Branch 35. Following the program, a Pot-Luck Dinner with lots of delicious food and dessert was enjoyed by all. Böjté Csaba jelenleg Erdélyben, Déva városában él és munkálkodik a magyar árva gyerekek felkarolásá és nevelésé. Több mint 200-an jöttek el a felejthetetlen estére amit a Szabad Magyar Református Gyülekezetben tartottunk meg október 26.-án este 7 órakor. A sokszor megrázó történetek sokakat megindítottak nemcsak könnyre hanem adakozásra is. Böjté Csaba szerzetes a szervezőkkel Az est végén pedig szeretetvendégséget szerveztünk: friss lecsókolbász és finomabbnál finomabb sütemények kerültek az asztalra. Üdítőt és kávét is szolgáltunk fel. A szervezés oroszlán részét Nt. Balogh András és Balogh Éva tiszteletes asszony vállalták a 100-as osztály közreműködésével. He is going to the Fire School of Ministries to be a missionary or pastor. December 30, 2006— On a Friday we decided to have a Christmas celebration and fundraiser for Matt at the same time in our home. Branch 151 and friends brought food for the celebration. Our menu consisted of meatballs and sauce, rigatoni, Italian sandwich rings, potato and macaroni salad, dips and chips, pastries and beverages. The party started at 6:30.
