Helen Ilona Szabó Tel: 734-284-7344 Branch 134 - Greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania We hosted a “fraternal day” cook-out on September 20, 2003, on the backyard grounds of the Duquesne Hungarian Reformed Church. Thirty-five members and guests attended. The “szalona sütés” (bacon fry) was the highlight of the menu, along with the usual hot dogs, hamburgers, kolbász, ham, the many side dishes, desserts, and snacks. The children enjoyed playing games and romping around the beautiful property behind the church and parsonage. After the “feast," the adults spent the rest of the afternoon in fellowship, enjoying the beautiful sunshine. A great time was had by all. We are ever grateful to my home church here in Duquesne for granting us the use of the church facilities for our meetings and activities. We participated in the Christmas Shoe Box Program by preparing shoe boxes of gifts for Christmas to needy children around the world. Our boxes were filled to overflowing with so many wonderful things for boys and girls in different age groups. We know that the children who receive them will certainly be delighted.
