FRATERNITY Page 5 A reá következő napon, hétfőn, a Munka Nap (Labor Day) ünnepén 11 órai kezdettel istentiszteletet tartunk a kis— templomban, az Amerikai Magyar Református Lelkészi, valamint a Presbiteri Szövetség meghívásában. A hálaadó istentiszteletet követően mindenkit szeretettel hívunk a közelmúltban megvásárolt (Ligonier-Gardens) épületbe, ahol 12:30 órai kezdettel, Ft. Forró Sándor és Ft. Medgyesi Lajos püspökök vezetésével, Isten dicsőségére, s az O nyájának szolgálatára felavatjuk az új épületet. A felavatási ünnepség után vendégeink részére ebédet szolgálunk fel. A második kiemelkedő hálaadó esemény október 27- re, szombatra esik, amikor is a tulajdonképpeni 80. évfordulói ünnepséget tartjuk meg. Erre az alkalomra a volt árvaház lakóit, a volt intézeti igazgatókat, azoknak családjait, valamint a volt alkalmazottakat hívjuk és várjuk szeretettel. Ez alkalommal hálaadó istentiszteletet tartunk, melyet ünnepi bankett követ a Ligoniertól 5 mérföldre északra a 711-es úton lévő Antiochian központban. A bankettre a jegyek ára 30 dollár. Az ezen részt venni kívánók szíveskedjenek felhívni az intézet igazgatói irodáját a (724) 238-6711 telefonszámon. Valóban Isten iránt való hálaadással telik meg a szívünk ezen a 80. esztendei évfordulón, el nem felejtkezve az irántunk való jóságáról. Szeretetteljes szívvel hivjuk és várjuk barátainkat a fent említett két eseményre, vagy bármikor máskor, a közeledő őszi időben, az intézet meglátogatására. Hálás köszönettel vagyunk mindazok iránt, akik segítik az intézetünket, s Istennek gazdag áldása maradjon továbbra is velük és velünk. Bertalan Imre, Igazgató-Lelkipásztor r Presents for Patients The Activity Department at Bethlen Home is starting to plan for its most important fundraiser of the year the “Presents for Patients” campaign for the holiday season. Each year the Activity Department encourages staff, family, friends, volunteers and community members and civic groups to sponsor a resident for Christmas. The donor is responsible for supplying a Christ­mas gift from the resident’s wish list. The amount you spend is totally up to you. The gift suggestions range from $5.00 to $25.00. The donor is then responsible for wrapping, tagging the gift, and giving or sending it to the Ac­tivity department by the suggested date for distri­bution. The Activity staff will then distribute the gift on Christmas Eve to your assigned resident. Sherry Humbertson, Activities Director BETHLEN HOME’S ANNUAL HUNGARIAN PICNIC A BIG SUCCESS The Hungarian picnic recently held on the Bethlen Home grounds on Sunday, July 15lh is an annual event enjoyed by all. This year over 250 guests and their families attended the event and the weather couldn’t have been more beautiful. Entertainment was provided throughout the day by Dor­othy and Company as well as the dance troop from the Hungarian Ethnic Group of Western Pa. Needless to say the music and the dancing were a hit. The residents were thrilled to see the young chil­dren in their native cos­tumes dancing. The guests enjoyed a vari­ety of foods such as a roast pig along with the traditional dishes of bacon fry, goulash, etc. Mr. and Mrs. Bela Csikesz were very popular with their homemade langos again this year. Magyar Marketing from Young­stown, Ohio again had a variety of ethnic items for sale such as cook­books, cloth­ing, etc. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped to make the picnic a success. We’re already looking forward to plan­ning next year’s. HRFA Director Clara Csikesz and her husband Bela raised $248.25 for the Bethlen Home with their homemade langos.
