The Kossuth Club, the Social Club of the HRFA in N/W Indiana, honored Mrs. Maria Koromi on her 80lh birthday. Mrs. Koromi is a member of Branch 176 and actively participates in every aspect of our club’s life. She always keeps very busy. Besides her legendary garden, she is the president of St. Elizabeth Club, and an active member of the American Hungarian Citizen’s Club. She is supportive, tireless, energetic, and it would be most difficult to imagine any activity that lacks her dedication and culinary expertise. The HRFA, the Holy Trinity Church and the Kossuth Club demonstrated their appreciation for her tireless efforts, and as a token of our gratitude, we presented her with a cake as well as a monetary reward, while Father Skerl, representing the Holy Trinity Church, presented her with a handcrafted box decorated with “Matyó” design. We hope she will be with us for many more years to come because people like her are hard to find.
