FRATERNITY Page 15 Branch 52, Buffalo, New York The annual meeting of our branch was held on Decem­ber 19,1999. It was opened by Elvira Petry and the prayer was offered by Rev. Lajos Aday Keresztúri. It was reported that the members of our branch had visited sick and shut-in members of our church and branch. On December 12, 1999, twelve members of the Ladies Guild held a Christmas party jointly with the branch mem­bers. The officers elected for the year of 2000 were: Nicholas Bado, President; László Cseh, Vice President; Alexander Csicseri, Treasurer; and Elvira Petry, Secretary. Elected were: Margaret Balogh, President; Sándor Lengyel, Vice President; Joseph Kovács, Secretary-Treasurer. Maria Kovács, Branch Manager 219-756-3102 Branch 67, Sharon, Pennsylvania The meeting was called to order and opened with a prayer by President William Szuch on December 12, 1999. At this time, a moment of silence was held in memory of John A. Palisin, Vice President of Br. 67 for many years. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted by the members present. The Secretary-Treasurer’s report was made. A review of the year’s charitable participation was made and all mem­bers were thanked for their participation. Projects and activities for the year 2000 will be dis­cussed at the next meeting. The President opened the floor for election of officers for the year 2000. Elected were: William Szuch, President; W. James Szuch, Vice President; and Helen Szuch, Secretary-Trea­surer. In closing, the President asked members to support the Student Aid Fund, the Bethlen Home and the Home’s Ac­tivity Fund as they did in the past. With no further business, the meeting was closed with a prayer and refreshments were served. We elected the following officers for the year of 2000: Janet Vegh, President; George Bochoras, Vice President; and Rose Komives, Secretary-Treasurer. Following the elections, we had a delicious buffet. Line dancing followed, and the rest of the afternoon was spent playing bingo with many, many prizes and monetary gifts for the juvenile members of the branch. Present were ap­proximately 40 members and children. We wish to thank our Branch Manager Irma Carnevale for sponsoring the en­tire buffet, the bingo prizes and for the endless generosity shown to the members of our branch. It was opened with a prayer by Rev. Stefan M. Torok. It was reported that a gift of $150 was given to Bishop Horkay for the flood relief in Ukraine. Nonperishable food was collected and given to needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will be soliciting financial assistance for the Concordia Choir’s trip to the USA. Officers elected for the year of 2000 were: Rev. Stefan M. Torok, President; Ceil St. Miklosy, Vice President; Mark Banyacski, Treasurer; and Joyce Colgan, Secretary. It was opened by Emery Kakoczki, and the prayer was offered by Louis Puskas. Elected were: Emery Kakoczki, President; Ava Kakoczki, Vice President; Angela Ralings, Treasurer; and David Ralings, Secretary. It was opened with a prayer by Branch President László Dallos. It was reported by László Dallos participated in June and October in a motorcycle ride for the Make-A-Wish Foun­dation. He also helped with the children’s Christmas Tree function and donated to the Boy’s Town. Officers elected for the year of 2000 were: László Dallos, President; István Szmetena, Vice President; and Jolán Szmetena, Secretary-Treasurer.
