FRATERNITY Page 13 ^Yeiűá Branch 3, Fairport Harbor, Ohio The annual meeting of the branch was held on December 19, 1999. It was opened by Branch Manager Louis J. Medgyesi, with a prayer offered by Rt. Rev. Louis Medgyesi. Minutes of the previous meeting were read. The chairman of the activities committee, Mrs. Elizabeth Medgyesi, reported that we had a busy year. The members participated serving at the “Breakfast Bunch” on a regular basis. Mrs. Medgyesi presently leads the “Breakfast Bunch” which requires contacting businesses for donations of food and money, so that a less fortunate child is able to have breakfast before school. The members put together 4 food baskets at Thanksgiving for needy families and combined their efforts with other local churches to distribute 31 such baskets. Food, clothes and toys were collected for 51 needy children in our community for the Christmas Season. This was another combined effort with local churches along with businesses and factories. The members visit shut-ins, nursing homes and hospitals. They also participate in all church activities and fundraisers. We had youth attending the Hungarian Reformed Youth Camp in Pennsylvania this past August who enjoyed their time there. Officers elected for the year of 2000 were: Edward Bihary, President; Elizabeth Toth, Vice President; Donald Getch, Treasurer; and Betty Ticel, Secretary. Susan Szabó opened the meeting, and Steve Menyhárt offered the prayer. Elected were: Susan Szabó, President; Eva Menyhárt, Vice President; Jolán Abel, Treasurer; and Miklós Szabó, Secretary. It was announced that a picnic will be held in September of this year. Details will be discussed at our next meeting to be held in July.
