Page 16 TESTVÉRISÉG We extend our congratulations to another new member, Briana Lynn Bürgin of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, granddaughter of Jackie Bokor. Our branch welcomes new member Emily Ann Biro, granddaughter of Louis Biro. Emily Ann Biro Both Louis and Joe Fabri came to the United States from Germany on the same boat in 1957. Louis is very active in the Hungarian community, and we thank him for his support and for bringing his granddaughter into the Federation. We wish Emily and her family God’s richest blessings. Peggy Fabri, Agent (724) 843-6162 Branch 176 - Gary, Indiana A warm welcome is extended to our newest member, a little angel by the name of Mary Alice Vargo, born February 12, 1999. May God richly bless her life. Mary Alice Vargo History repeats itself: The July 11 “Fraternity Day” picnic and fundraiser organized by the Kossuth Club, comprised of members of branches 62 and 176, was again a bright spot in the life of our members and friends. Our guests came from distant places to share the beautiful summer weather and the delicious Hungarian food. Among those present were Arlene and Endre Csornán from the Home Office, Jay Schenk from the Catholic Knights of America and several visitors from Hungary. The dinner consisting of stuffed cabbage and “bográcsgulyás” was prepared by the ladies of the Kossuth Club. The “pecsenye” and “langos” were made by a few brave people who worked the grill in the hot summer day. The pastries were also made by the talented ladies. Drinks were consumed in large quantities. We got great help from the neighboring soccer team and their boosters after their game. The music was supplied by our own disc jockey equipment, expertly handled by George Chervenak. We also had bingo and raffle games. Ferenc Mozsi from Chicago sold Hungarian books, tapes and mementos. To put together such an event requires logistics and many many hours of volunteer help. Thanks to the hard working volunteers of the Kossuth Club, the wonderful help and cooperation from the Citizen’s Club, and last but not least the cooperation we received from Father Skerl and the Holy Trinity church members. Briana Lynn Bürgin We are happy to have Briana be part of our fraternal society, and we wish the Lord’s richest blessings on her life.
