Page 26 TESTVÉRISÉG American High School Mathematics Examination, placed second in the Calculus Competition held at YSU, and received the Freshman Chemistry Award while attending YSU. I have joined the Mathematical Association of America, the YSU Branch of the American Chemical Society, and the Centurians, an academic and service oriented club at YSU. Currently I am proofreading an algebra solutions manual as well as participating in research with the Chemistry Department. I serve Saint Christine Parish through the Ministry of the Eucharist and teacher of CCD classes. I was also an altar server for Saint Christine’s Parish for over five years. The myriad of activities has led me to diverse interests and goals. I enjoy both the physical and social sciences and I am currently pursuing a dual major in mathematics and chemistry with a minor in economics. In college and in a career, both my immediate and long-term goals are general; I hope to meet people with sincere enthusiasm for their work as well as appreciation and tolerance for the contribution of others whose goals and interests may vary. My hope is that this essay is not misinterpreted as just another self-righteous, arrogant student boasting about his or her accomplishments. I want to paint a picture of myself and it must include my many activities and accomplishments that certainly have been an integral part of my life. I characterize myself as a caring, moral, and highly disciplined young man who welcomes the challenge of hard work and enjoys the company of others. Although I am shy and reserved by nature, I enjoy discussing or debating issues with others. My love of learning and willingness to work independently, as well as my various interests and goals, distinguishes me from others. I would like to express my gratitude for the HRFA scholarship. The money will greatly help finance the next year of my college education. I also wish to thank VP John K. Morey for his recommendation. I greatly appreciate the scholarship.” OBITUARIES Geza Sanislo 1909-1999 Geza Sanislo, died May 29, 1999, of natural causes, at the home of his daughter Joyce.
