NORWALK, CT We are pleased to announce that the juvenile membership in Branch 52 has increased by two children this year. Our newest members are Alex Burr and Joshua J. David. Both Alex and Joshua have family members who are also members of the Federation. A fund-raising trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey, took place on May 16th and was enjoyed by all. The travelers were treated to snacks during the bus trip which was provided by the branch. Rev. Judit Mayer, our new member in 1997, celebrated two important milestones this year. On Sunday, August 30th, she Joshua Joseph David was installed as pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church in South Norwalk, Connecticut. The Bishop of the Calvin Synod, the Rt. Rev. Louis Medgyesi, presided and he was assisted by the members of the Bishop’s Council. Guests came from many states and the Federation was well represented. Then on Saturday, September 19th, Rev. Mayer was married to Keith Miska from Bridgeport, Connecticut. The beautiful marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Peter L. Toth of Carteret, New Jersey, and the wedding reception was held in St. Ladislaus’ Church hall. Rev. Mayer-Miska’s parents traveled from Hungary to celebrate this joyous occasion. The members of Branch 52 wish Judit and Keith a happy married life with God’s blessings. HRFA Br. 52 will make donations to the Hungarian Reformed Church, So. Norwalk, Connecticut, to the Sunday School and also to the Bethlen Home Activities Fund. Our branch is proud of the fact that we have supported the Activities Fund, with branch and individual donations, for many years. The annual meeting of Br. 52 will be held in January, 1999. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Rev. Judit Mayer-Miska. Photo was taken at her installation banquet. Ernest P.
