FRATERNITY Page 17 Sförancíi BRANCH 3 - FAIRPORT HARBOR, OHIO Our annual branch meeting for the election of officers was held on April 19, 1998 at 12:30 p.m. The meeting was opened with a prayer by the Rev. Louis Medgyesi. Branch Treasurer James Varga presented the treasurer’s report and Branch Secretary Elizabeth Ticel read the minutes. Both were accepted. The following officers were unanimously elected: Rev. Louis Medgyesi, President; Louis J. Medgyesi, Vice President; James Varga, Treasurer; Elizabeth Ticel, Secretary. We had a prayer for our deceased members, the sick and the shut-ins. Our branch members continue to visit the sick and the nursing homes. We are planning to raise money for our mission work and for the church building fund. The meeting was adjourned at 1:50 p.m. Elizabeth Ticel, Branch Secretary BRANCH 4 - CLEVELAND, OHO The meeting for the election of branch officers was held at 12:30 p.m., January 10, 1998. Susan Szabó opened the meeting, and Branch Manager Jolán Abel offered the prayer. We discussed the operations of the past year and set goals for this year. Fraternal activities for this year will include a fraternal day, possibly in July. Congratulations to the following couples who celebrated wedding anniversaries in 1997: Jolán and József Abel their 40th; Eva and Steve Menyhárt their 31st; Orsolya and Janos Szedensky their 25th. The branch officers elected were: Julie Leszko, President; Susan Szabó, Vice President; Eva Menyhárt, Treasurer; Jolán Abel, Secretary. There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 1:50 p.m. David Gersey, youngest member of our branch was bom on June 6, 1997. David’s brother Morgan and his cousin Natalie are members of the Federation as are his grandmother Caroline (Riboczi) Gersey and his great grandmother Gizella Riboczi. A warm welcome is extended to David. And, our appreciation goes to his great-grandmother and grandmother who have faithfully carried on a tradition of loyalty with the Federation. Jolán Abel, Branch Manager BRANCH 5 - BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA Our annual branch meeting was held April 26, 1998. We elected the following branch officers for 1998: Balint Balog, President; Helen Kuronya, Treasurer; Kalman Sinko, Secretary. Some news from our branch life: In December of last year, our Branch Manager Bela Sarkozy got married. Congratulations! Branch member Erin Sarkozy graduated from high school in Coppell, Texas, and has been accepted at Texas A&M. Our best wishes to her. Oroszvary, Branch Manager BRANCH 21 - TOLEDO, OHIO Branch meeting was held at 12 noon, Sunday, February 15, 1998. Branch President Mary Bacho opened the meeting, and Lay Minister Judy Schumaker offered a prayer.
