In 1996, donations were made to the Bethlen Home Activity Fund, the Hungarian Reformed Church, So. Norwalk, and the Sunday School Christmas Party. Officers elected for 1997 are: Ernest P. Virgulák, President; Joseph Lucskay, Vice President; Helen E. Sontra, Recording Secretary; Joseph Singola, Treasurer. The Corresponding Secretary’s duties will be jointly handled by Helen E. Sontra and Suzanne S. Virgulák. The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m. and was closed with the recital of the Lord’s Prayer. A light supper was served at the close of this meeting. Alphonse Skerl. Steve Mischak read the minutes of the last meeting and Joe Kovács read the Treasurer’s report. Both reports were accepted by the members. The officers elected for 1997 are: Julius Simon, President; Kathy Mischak, Vice President; Joseph Kovács, Treasurer; Magdolna Marjai, Secretary; Steve Mischak, Recording Secretary. Sontra, Recording Secretary BRANCHES 62, 84, 100, 176 - CHICAGO AREA A Budapesti Stella Kórus Magyarország 1100 éves évfordulójának alkalmából egy amerikai turnén vett részt, melynek keretében Merrillville, Indianaba is ellátogatott. A 36 tagú kórus Prof. József Baraz vezényletével 1996. augusztus 28-án adott nagysikerű koncertet az Our Lady of Consolation katolikus templomban. Különböző egyházi, világi, valamint Kodály és Bartók müveket adtak elő. A kórus televízióban, rádióban szokott fellépni Magyarországon. Legemlékezetesebb fellépésük a Vatikánban volt, ahol II. János Pál Pápának tartottak előadást. Merrillville-i vendégszereplésük szervezői (a képen balról jobbra): Kovács József, Simon Gyula, Vámos Atya, Rev. Simon Gyula, igazgató BRANCH 67 - SHARON, PENNSYLVANIA Our branch is proud to introduce our newest set of twins: Marisa Susan and Karisa Lee Toboz of Meadville, Pennsylvania. These young ladies are the fourth generation of the Toboz family to become members of the HRFA. Their great grandfather, Daniel K. Toboz, was the branch manager in Meadville, Pennsylvania, years ago. The grandfather, Daniel G. Toboz, Sr., an aunt, Nancy Lamb, and an Mansa Susan & Karisa Lee Toboz Edward ToboZi are also members of our branch.
