Page 10 TESTVÉRISÉG FRATERNAL HAPPENINGS continued MARIA POCS FRATERNAL DAY CELEBRATED IN MATA WAN, NEW JERSEY The St. George District, acting in concert with the combined Branches of New Jersey, held the annual Maria Poes Fraternal Day on Sunday, August 3, 1997. The beautiful monastery grounds of the Basilian Fathers of Maria Poes in Matawan, New Jersey, was again the setting for this year’s function, attended by over 450 people from as far away as Baltimore, Maryland, and some visitors from Hungary. The food available ran the gamut of a traditional Hungarian Festival with head chefs László Lipoczky and George Dózsa lending their expertise. Back by popular demand was the scintillating “Regös” Dance Group of the New Brunswick Hungarian Scouts. Also, the “Our Gang” Instrumental Trio played our favorite Hungarian songs.
