Page 12 TESTVÉRISÉG Children ’s Christmas Party The Children’s Christmas Party of our branch was held at the Assembly of God Church hall. Invited were all the children of the branch and their parents. The first part of the program consisted of a workshop whereby children worked on Christmas crafts provided by the branch officers. We then watched a video on the Nativity. As the afternoon proceeded, Director on the Board Joe Fabri invited young and old to a buffet dinner, which he opened with a prayer. After dinner, a cake was served and Happy Birthday to Jesus sung by all. Gifts were distributed to the children and the party ended with a series of Christmas carols. A sincere “thank you” to all our friends who helped make this Christmas Party a big success. If anyone is interested in our upcoming events, please call Branch Manager Arlene Csornán at (412) 846-4986. Peggy Fabri, Branch Secretary The stars of the Nativity. Photo taken after the play. Annual Ecumenical Service in Beaver Falls Branch 151 started the Christmas season with the 11th Annual Ecumenical Service held at Third Avenue Calvin Reformed Church on Sunday, December 3, 1996. As in previous years, the event was cosponsored by the Federation and the William Penn Association. The children of the Sunday School opened the service with a presentation of the Nativity. The Holy family was represented by Lynn and Rick Granatty and their son Jules. Baby Jesus was particularly charming this year as he fell asleep at the end of the performance. Shaunte Csornán touched our hearts with her flute solos and the beautiful voice of Stacey Bobbin thrilled us as she rendered several Christmas favorites. As usual, the wonder of the Christmas story touched everyone, particularly the children who participated: Christina Lieber and Katica Kovács (Angels); Allen Csornán and Joshua Kovács (Shepherds); Nadine Csornán (Narrator). The church service was led by Rev. Louis Medgyesi, auxiliary Bishop of the Calvin Synod. The message was given by Zee Keele and Pastor Jeffrey Bobbin. Following the church service, refreshments were served. Special thanks to Reverend Medgyesi who traveled with his lovely wife Erzsiké all the way from Fairport Harbor, Ohio. We would like to convey our appreciation to the students from the local Geneva College and to all our friends who continue to support our efforts to keep our church alive through such events. God bless you all!!! Arlene Csornán, Branch Manager BRANCH 153 - MORGANTOWN, W. VIRGINIA Gratulálunk Dr. Varga Andrásnak A West Virginiai Morgantowni Egyetemen Varga Andrást 1996. Congratulations to Andrew Varga, Ph.D.
