There being 14 members present, the President declared a quorum. Elected were: Robert J. Bihary, delegate; Donald Getch, first alternate; Louis J. Medgyesi, second alternate. The meeting was closed with a prayer at 12:23 P.M. Elizabeth Ticel, Secretary BRANCH 4 - CLEVELAND, OH Jolán Abel was nominated and unanimously elected delegate. Joseph Abel was nominated and unanimously elected alternate delegate. Jolán Abel, Branch Manager Mr. and Mrs. Jolán Abel hosted the Special Meeting of Branch 4. BRANCH 5 - BETHLEHEM, PA On April 28, 1996, Branch 5 held a special meeting at the Bethlehem Hungarian Evangelical Reformed Church, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to elect a delegate and alternates for the 35th Convention of the Federation. Twelve members were present, less than the fifteen needed for a quorum. Therefore, the meeting was rescheduled for May 5, 1996. Vice-President on the Board, Mr. László Lipoczky, was present at the meeting of April 28. On May 5, we conducted the meeting at the same place. Nine members were present. Elected were: Balint Balogh, delegate; Kalman Sinko first alternate; Ibolya Balogh second alternate. Kalman Sinko, Secretary BRANCH 6 - HOMESTEAD, PA Official Observer and Director Rev. Alexander Jalso opened the delegate election meeting held at the residence of Bela and Clara Csikesz on May 25, 1996, 3:00 P.M. with a prayer. Branch President Alexander Bajusz welcomed those present and spoke of the By-Laws and duties of the elected delegates who will be attending the convention. There were several questions raised about voting procedures and duties of the elected delegates. Elected were: Bela Csikesz, delegate; Alexander Bajusz alternate. Clara V. Csikesz, Director and Branch Manager BRANCH 15 - PITTSBURGH, PA Official Observer and Director Rev. Alexander Jalso opened the delegate election meeting held at the residence of Bela and Clara Csikesz on May 25, 1996, 4:00 P.M. with a prayer. Director Clara V. Csikesz explained the duties of the elected delegates to the convention and answered some questions raised about the voting procedures and other convention related matters. Elected were: Marianna Bajusz delegate; Marika Dienes first alternate; Kerri Ann Jones second alternate. Clara V. Csikesz, Director and Branch Manager BRANCH 17 - SO. BEND, IN A special meeting for the election of delegates for the 35th Convention of the HRFA was held May 18, 1996, 7:00 P.M. There were twenty-four voting members present plus the Official Observer, Director Joseph Kovács. Elected were: Helen K. Modory, delegate; Dorothy Batiz, first alternate; Elvira Kajzer, second alternate. Helen K. Modory, Secretary BRANCH 21 - TOLEDO, OH Branch 21 met in the Calvin Hall of United Church of Christ on April 14, 1996 at 9:30 A.M. Rev. Imre A. Bertalan offered the prayer. John Bistayi, our Branch President, conducted the meeting with Director Samuel Vespremi, Official Observer. We had 23 members present. The purpose of the meeting was to elect a delegate and an alternate to the 35th Convention of the HRFA. Elected were: Mary S. Bacho, delegate; Rev. Imre A. Bertalan, alternate delegate. Refreshments were offered by Mary and Albert Bacho. Mary S. Bacho, Secretary BRANCH 22 - YOUNGSTOWN, OH The delegate election meeting was held on May 12,1996 at the American Hungarian Reformed Church, Youngstown, Ohio. Elected were: Patricia M. Morey, delegate; Kenneth L. Sausman, first alternate; Timothy S. Morey, second delegate. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Demjen, Jr., of Struthers, Ohio, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 22, 1996. Mr. Demjen is a retiree of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company. Mrs. Demjen is the former Irene Turocy. They celebrated this happy event with their children at a dinner banquet. Patricia M. Morey, Secretary
