FRATERNITY Page 21 ewd BRANCH 1 - BRIDGEPORT, CT On April 21, 1996, we held a special meeting at the Hungarian Reformed Church of Bridgeport, Connecticut, to elect a delegate for the 35th Convention of the Federation. Since there were only eight members present, less than the ten needed for a quorum, we had to reschedule our meeting for April 28, 1996, 10:45 A.M. This time there were nine members present. Elected were: John Koi, delegate; Alexander J. Perigyi, first alternate; Vincent Vida, second alternate. The meeting adjourned at 10:58 A.M. Ella Racz, Secretary BRANCH 2 - CLEVELAND, OH A second meeting was held to elect two delegates and two alternates to attend the 35th Convention. Meeting was held on April 28 at the First Hungarian Reformed Church. Secretary Ann Kovach called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. President Joe Kovach was unable to attend. Nine members were present besides Rev. Zoltán Szucs, Official Observer for the branch meeting. Dr. Stephen Szabó opened the meeting with a short prayer. Elected were: Edward Szabó and Violet Szabó, delegates; Robert Szabó, first alternate; Ann Kovach, second alternate. Dr. Szabó made a motion to adjourn and closed the meeting with a prayer at 3:20 P.M. Ann Kovach, Secretary The combined Cleveland area branches held a “Fraternal” card day Sunday, March 24, 1996 at the First Hungarian Reformed Church. A very pleasant group of people turned out and enjoyed a great luncheon and an afternoon of good fellowship. Those present enjoyed a large variety of door prizes and many gifts. We do thank all the brethren who so graciously donated these gifts. The spirit of fellowship enjoyed by all made this a successful day. J. Edward Bihary, Ohio Director An efficient and happy group prepared the excellent luncheon for the “Fraternal” card day, Sunday, March 24, 1996. Members of the combined Cleveland area branches enjoyed an afternoon of good fellowship, Sunday, March 24, 1996. On July 14,1996, Branches 2,4, and 352 held a fraternal day at the First Hungarian Reformed Church, Walton Hills, Ohio. The event, held indoors, was a big success, and it was attended by more than one hundred people. Our next endeavor will be on August 25 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Federation. We look forward to welcoming our many members and guests. Ann Kovach, Secretary BRANCH 3 - FAIRPORT HARBOR, OH The delegate election meeting was held at the Fairport Harbor Hungarian Reformed Church, April 14, 1996. It was opened at 12:01 P.M. with Rev. Louis Medgyesi offering the opening prayer.
