Bertalan Imre javasolja, hogy a tervezett filmbemutatókat tartsuk meg, és más kultúrális estéket is lehetne tartani, pl. verses irodalmi összejöveteleket tervbe venni. Az egyesület karácsonyi ünnepsége december 20-án 1 órakor lesz megtartva a Kossuth Házban, december 17-én pedig osztálykirándulás keretében ellátogatunk Ligonierba a Bethlen Otthonba. Több tárgy nem lévén, Nt. Bertalan Imre a gyűlést bezárja. Major Márta, titkár BRANCH 302 - NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ The annual meeting of our branch was held December 16, 1995 at 5:00 P.M. Branch President Jerry Wyttenbach opened the meeting and Rev. Barnabas Roczey offered the prayer. We discussed plans for a fundraising dinner to be held on March 16th at the Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick as well as a reception for the delegates to the 35th Quadrennial Convention. Details will be published in the upcoming issue of the Fraternity. An amount of $500 was donated by the branch to several local charities, including the Bethlen Museum & Archives, Inc. A very successful Christmas Party held at the Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick was equally enjoyed by the children and many adult members of the branch. Throughout the year the branch officers faithfully attended several local activities representing the branch and the Federation in general. Officers elected for 1996 are: Jerry R. Wyttenbach, President; Matilda Dózsa, Vice President; Anna Lipoczky, Treasurer; Bill Puskas, Secretary. Jerry Wyttenbach, Branch President BRANCH 313 - LINDEN, NJ Branch President Rev. Ambrose Batiz opened the annual meeting on January 7, 1996 at noon and offered the opening prayer. It was reported that members attended various HRFA functions sponsored by other branches during the year. The date for election of convention delegate was set for Sunday, May 19, 1996 at the Free Magyar Reformed Church in Linden at noon. Officers elected for 1996 are: Rev. Ambrose Batiz, President; John Nagy, Vice President; Priscilla Hunyady, Treasurer-Secretary; Clara Balog, Trustee. Rev. Ambrose Batiz, Branch President BRANCH 352 - CLEVELAND, OH Rev. Szabolcs Kalman opened the annual meeting of our branch with a prayer on December 3, 1995 at 12:25 P.M. Mrs. Irene B. Elek read the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion was made to accept it as read. It was seconded and carried. Treasurer’s report was given by Jenny Bihary. Cash on hand is $112.81. Motion was made to accept the report which was then seconded and carried. Our report on the activities includes visitations of the sick and shut-ins, participation in the hunger task force, distribution of baskets to the needy for Christmas and Thanksgiving. We made our annual donation to the Bethlen Home, the Student Aid Fund and the Salvation Army. We remembered the many members who passed away in 1995, including our past pastor, the Rev. Norm Johnson. The election of officers followed. Elected for 1996 are: Rev. Szabolcs Kalman, President; Goldie Maxim, Vice President; Genevieve Bihary, Treasurer; Irene B. Elek, Secretary, Irene Docktor, Trustee. We have plans for a dinner-dance, summer picnics and a bus trip to the Bethlen Home. We will continue making the same benevolent offerings in 1996 as in 1995. The next meeting is scheduled for April 14th. The meeting adjourned at 12:45 P.M. Irene B. Elek, Secretary BRANCH 368 - PASSAIC, NJ Branch President Robert J. Harsaghy opened the meeting on December 9, 1995 at 3:00 P.M. Phyllis Zoda offered the prayer. In 1995, we donated toys and clothing to the needy and visited families of deceased members. Filomena Harsaghy, Secretary BRANCH 369 - MANHATTAN, NY We held our annual meeting on January 14, 1996 at 2:30 P.M. Dr. Otto Hamos opened the meeting with a prayer. It was reported that in 1995 our branch signed up six new members (four adults and two babies). Fourteen members of our branch undertook a trip to the Old Country. We participated in celebrations of the two Hungarian Reformed churches in New York City, the Hungarian Protestant Ball and the 100th anniversary celebration of the First Hungarian Reformed Church.
