Mr. Eger served on the board of directors of Raritan Bay Medical Center for 13 years. He was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Perth Amboy. Mr. Eger was also a member of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, serving as legal counsel from 1964 to 1993. He also was active in the Perth Amboy Kiwanis Club and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Surviving are his daughter, Suzanne Brauer of Sewaren; a brother, L. Walter of Ponte Vedra, Fla., and a sister, Irene Kish of Highland Park, NJ. Services were held at the Hungarian Reformed Church, Kirkland Place, Perth Amboy. The Board of Directors of the HRFA appointed Mr. Eger Legal Counsel in 1964. We are deeply indebted to Mr. Eger for the dedicated services he has provided over the years, and we will gratefully remember him as one of the longest-serving advisors in the history of the Federation. The President. REV. TIBOR PETROCZY 1927-1995 After a long illness, Rev. Tibor Petroczy passed away at the age of 68 in Elyria, Ohio. The Rev. William Feldt, Pastor of the Magyar United Church of Christ, and the Rt. Rev. Zoltán Szucs, Pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Lorain, officiated at the funeral service. Rev. Tibor Petroczy lived in Canada from 1951 to 1971. He attended elementary school in Szabolcs, Hungary, and studied to be a teacher at the Debrecen Kollegium. He moved to Austria from Hungary in 1949. From there he moved to Welland, Ontario, Canada, in 1951, and attended Emmanuel Theological College in Toronto. Rev. Petroczy received his degree in theology from United Theological College in Montreal. Ordained in 1961, he was an associate pastor at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Montreal from 1961 to 1964. From 1964 to 1971, he was pastor of the Oka United Church of Canada. From 1971 to 1976, he was pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Dayton. From 1976 to 1988, he was pastor of the Magyar United Church of Christ in Elyria. REV. TIBOR PETROCZY In 1990, Rev. Petroczy was a supply pastor at the West Side Hungarian Church in Cleveland. He belonged to the American Association of Retired Persons and the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. He enjoyed growing roses. Survivors include two sisters in Hungary; a cousin in Canada; one brother in Canada and another in Hungary, and a friend and caregiver in Elyria. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece. Rev. Petroczy was very dedicated and faithful in visiting the sick members of the Elyria Magyar Church and the Lorain Hungarian Church. Emma Aros, Manager, Branches 31 & 168
