FRATERNITY Page 23 Hungarian Reformed Federation of America 100th Anniversary Essay & Poster Contest ESSAY In conjunction with the 100th Anniversary of the Federation, we invite our young members to participate in an Essay Contest. Theme. THE ETHNIC HUNGARIAN CULTURE AND/OR HISTORY IN THE UNITED STATES. Guidelines: Essay must be type-written, double-spaced, not more than 10 pages long. Participants: Senior high and college students. POSTER In conjunction with the 100th Anniversary of the Federation, you are also invited to participate in a Poster Contest. Theme: A SUBJECT MATTER THAT REMINDS YOU OF YOUR HUNGARIAN HERITAGE. Guidelines: • Posters must be on poster board, cardboard, or any similar material. • Posters must be no larger than 20" x 20". Posters can be sketched, drawn, printed or painted with watercolors, paint, pen and ink or crayons. Participants: Children in grades 3-10. Mail your entry for either contest to your Branch Manager or Area Director. Please include your FULL NAME, address including street, city, state, and ZIP Code as well as your phone number with area code. VERY IMPORTANT: To qualify, you must include your age and signature for the Essay Contest. For the Poster Contest, include your grade, school and signature. PRIZES First Prize: Invitation to Convention Banquet at the Hyatt Hotel in New Brunswick, NJ, Monday, September 16, 1996, including one night lodging, meals and pocket money ($50.00), or a cash prize of $250.00 Second Prize: $150.00 Third Prize: $100.00 Winning entries (Poster & Essay) will be displayed at the Hyatt Hotel in New Brunswick, NJ, throughout the duration of the Convention of the HRFA, September 16-20, 1996, and published in the Fraternity. All entries must be done by the participant alone, and will be limited to one per person. Posters must be mailed in a flat envelope protected by cardboard to eliminate the possibility of damage. All entries must be received by the Branch Manager or Area Director no later than June 1, 1996.
