FRATERNITY Page 25 & LOAN FUND of the HRFA Renee L. Balog, Member Br. 85: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the HRFA for the scholarship award I recently received. It is assuring to know that such a fine organization is so concerned with the education of aspiring students as to contribute to their funding. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. I am currently a sophomore Accounting major at Waynesburg College, hoping to be a CPA someday. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, which is concerned with providing a stepping stone into the real world of business for those seeking a degree in Business Administration. I also hold a part time job at The Bon Ton, working 12-24 hours a week. Also, I would like to send a special thank you to Mrs. Anna Novak for recommending me. ” Robert C. Balut, Member Br. 501: “I am writing to thank you for selecting me to receive $500 scholarship to aid in my college expenses. I am presently a sophomore at the University of South Carolina in Columbia and am majoring in Sports Management and Administration. I was very involved in high school athletics and love all sports in general. I am interested in pursuing a career in either ROBERT C. BALUT coaching, sports administration or sports financing with a university or any major professional team. Last semester I was fortunate to be included on the school’s dean list. I currently serve as secretary of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity which is involved in a variety of school, civic and community activities. I represent the third in my family to receive this special gift. My sister Laurie, currently a senior also at USC, and my brother Michael, a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio, were scholarship recipients. I know I speak for them and myself when I say that contributions from organizations such as yours are really appreciated and needed in order to make our goals and dreams a reality. I will continue to try to do the best I can in my studies in order to reinforce your faith in me.” Robert was recommended by Margaret Pauli, Branch Manager Melissa /. Brown, Member Br. 140: “I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for awarding the student aid scholarship. This scholarship has allowed me to attend another semester at my university and continue my education. It is one more semester toward my goal of graduating. Thank you again! I am currently attending the University of Texas in MELISSA I. BROWN E* Paso where I am a Senior, Pre-Nursing major. I am waiting for acceptance into the College of Nursing at UTEP for the fall of 95 semester. As of last fall, I hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.14. I hope to be graduating from UTEP in two years. Upon graduation, I plan to work on the surgical team of a hospital either here in El Paso or in Dallas, Texas. I would like to establish myself in my career and eventually start a family. I plan to be financially as well as emotionally, physically and spiritually successful so that I may bring stability to my family life. Thank you for bringing all of this one step closer.” Melissa was recommended by Margaret Bodo, Branch Manager Kristina A. Fazekas, Member Br. 4: “I am a third year student at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. I am currently working toward my Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Small Business. I am working my way through school at Nationwide Clinical Laboratories, also located in Southfield, Michigan, as a receptionist/data processor. My main goal in life is to earn my Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design/Decorating in conjunction with my Small Business degree. With these degrees I hope to someday open my own Interior Design Business. I would also like to work in a child day care or a preschool. KRISTINA A. FAZEKAS
