FRATERNITY Page 13 MR. JAMES VARGA HRFA FRATERNALIST of the YEAR 1994 /7/ Heat Branch 3, Fairport Harbor, Ohio, are very ( yl V"pleased to announce that we have a member / who deserves to be called “Fratemalist of the Year.” Mr. James Varga has shown what true Fratemalism is. When he takes his daily morning walks around our quiet community, his many friends impatiently wait to greet him and to talk to him. He is always ready to take someone who is unable to drive to a shopping center or a grocery store. He will shop for the sick and disabled members of the community. He is a caring and sensitive individual who will visit the sick and shut-ins to make their day a little more pleasant. He will cut the grass for those who are unable to do so; and, on many occasions, he will return with his wife with a cooked meal for those who need one. He is a well-known member of our community, and he has served his church faithfully for his lifetime. He has been Treasurer of Branch 3 for many, many years. This quiet unassuming man does not think that he is doing anything special. “This is just my way of life,” says this giving, caring individual. Mr. Varga will be 85 years young this coming Christmas Day. We pray that he be continually blessed by our Lord. Ed Bihaty, Director Mr. and Mrs. James Varga. ‘ 'God bless you for your caring hearts. THE ECUMENICAL SERVICE in BEAVER FALLS, PA The Third Ave. Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, held its Ecumenical Church Service on December 4, 1994 at 4:00 P.M. Four ministers celebrated the service: Rev. Dr. Aladar Komjáthy from Pittsburgh; Rev. Ákos Miklós from Budapest; Rev. Fraziel from the Roman Catholic Church and Rev. Dr. Arthur Tate from the Orthodox Church of Beaver Falls. Our layspeaker was Roland Blutcher. Preceding the church service was the traditional Nativity play presented by the children. A baby was little Jesus, and four little girls, two and three-year olds, dressed in beautiful angel dresses created by Mrs. Arlene Csornán, were the angels. The sermons delivered by the visiting ministers were very inspiring. During the service beautiful solos were sung by Zoltán Kovács, Nicole and Judy Campagna. The children sang English and Hungarian Christmas songs. At the end we sang together the American and the Hungarian national anthems. We belong to two nations - the USA, where our home sweet home is, and our motherland, Hungary, where our roots are. After the service, we tasted delicious Hungarian pastries.
