Page 24 TESTVÉRISÉG Mrs. Piroska Halkai, grandmother of Lisa Marie and Alex Kulcsár BRANCH 2 - CLEVELAND, OH Szokásos nyári piknikünket az East Side i Református Egyház parkjában július 17-én rendeztük meg. A helyi férfikor, Ed Szabó, vezetésével derekasan dolgozott, s jó vendéglátónak bizonyult. Kellemes és testvéries légkörben teltek az órák, a meghirdetett szalonnasütés jól sikerült. A közös munkában példaadó volt Joe és Ann Kovács, elnökünk és pénztárosunk, akik évek óta lelkesen szolgálják Egyesületünket. Jelen volt jó néhány tag osztályunkból, s így a személyes kapcsolat elmélyülhetett. Több értékes tárgy került kisorsolásra, mely biztosította az adományokat a Diákalap megsegítésére. Ez összesen, az egyéni adományokkal együtt 165 dollár volt, melyet központunkba elküldtünk. Abban a reményben, hogy a 2. osztály vezetői és tagjai még több testvéri és jótékony alkalommal fognak össze a jövőben, maradok imádságos szeretettel: Ni. Eva Lukacsi, Branch Manager BRANCH 4 - CLEVELAND, OH Youngest member of our branch is Lisa Marie Kulcsár, born in Chicago on June 3, 1994. Her grandmother, Mrs. Piroska Halkai, underwent a successful eye operation at the beginning of this year. We wish our sister Piroska all our very best and hope that she will spend many enjoyable hours together with her grandchildren, Lisa Marie and Alex. God’s blessings on the Piroska and her family. Jolán Abel, Branch Manager We had our annual picnic on July 17th in the park of the First Hungarian Reformed Church. It was sponsored by members of the Brotherhood of the Church, under the supervision of Ed Szabó. All worked hard and proved to be good hosts. Our branch officers Ann and Joe Kovács are also to be commended for their fine job. The “szalonnasütés” proved to be a great success. The atmosphere was pleasant, personal connections were deepened among the members, and we all had a good time. Valuable items were donated for the raffle drawing which took place towards the end of the day. The proceeds from the raffle and the donations amounted to $ 165, which amount was sent to the Home Office for the Student Aid Fund. Youngest Member of Branch 4, Lisa Marie Kulcsár.
