FRATERNITY Page 17 BRANCH 3, FAIRPORT HARBOR, OH The annual meeting of our branch was held on November 21, 1993 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Fairport Harbor, OH. Rev. Louis Medgyesi opened the meeting with a prayer. We remembered our members who passed away this past year - may we keep them in our memory forever. The minutes and financial reports were accepted as read. The following officers were elected for 1994: Rev. Louis Medgyesi, President; Louis J. Medgyesi, Vice President; James Varga, Treasurer; Elizabeth Ticel, Secretary. The secretary of our branch and the Women’s Fellowship regularly visit members who are sick and those living in nursing homes. Many members of our branch also belong to the Women’s Fellowship and together they organize a dinner each month to raise money for the church. Plans for the summer picnic were discussed. Tentative dates were set for Sunday, June 12 and Sunday, June 19, 1994. All pending matters and dates will be finalized at our next meeting which will be held at the Church on April 17, 1994 at 3:00 P.M. We are planning to give gift certificates to our young Federation members at this year’s School Christmas party. The meeting adjourned with a prayer by President Louis Medgyesi. Betty Ticel, Secretary BRANCH 4 - CLEVELAND, OH We are pleased to introduce two young members of our branch, one who is the youngest, Mary Elizabeth Harsany, bom November 2, 1993, and the other, Michael Toderick, who is a member since December 1990. We are happy that both children are members of our fraternal family, and we wish God’s many blessings on their lives. Jolán Abel, Branch Manager BRANCH 52 - SO. NORWALK, CT The annual meeting of HRFA-Branch 52 was held on Sunday, November 28, 1993, in the Parlor of the Hungarian Reformed Church (UCC), South Norwalk, CT. The meeting was called to order by Ernest P. Virgulák, Branch President, and he also offered the opening prayer. Minutes of the report were read and the Treasurer’s report was presented. Members made plans for fraternal activities for 1994. The new Branch Manager, Mrs. Linda Sontra Van Buskirk, was welcomed, and best wishes were extended to her. The election of officers for 1994 took place. They are as follows: Ernest P. Virgulák, President; Joseph Lucskay, Vice President; Helen Sontra, Recording Secretary; Irene Kurimai, Corresponding Secretary; Joseph Singola, Treasurer; Andrew Hutkai, Comptroller. CHICAGO, IN We are happy to introduce the youngest member of our branch, Samantha Lee Yobbka, bom August 25,1993. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Yobbka, and the great grand­daughter of Mrs. Margaret Yobbka, all members of the Federation. Samantha is now the 4th generation of the Yobbka family to join the Federation. We welcome her and wish her health, happiness and God’s blessing. Maria Kovács, Branch Manager Samantha Lee Yobbka MIDWEST BRANCHES 62, 176, 83, 17 - IN; 84, 100 - ILL Az első alkalommal rendezett egy szép karácsonyi Mikulás estet az AMRE Kossuth Club. Az ünnepi est a decemberi rendes havi gyűléssel volt egybekötve. Ez ünnepi alkalom tiszteletére rántottcsirke vacsorát szolgáltunk fel. A gyerekeknek virsli volt. Vacsora után vendégünk érkezett “Szent Miklós Püspök” Father Skerl személyében, aki hagyományos cukorka­gyümölcs csomagokat osztott ki a gyerekeknek. Váratlan vendégünk is volt. Nyitva felejtett oldalajtón nagy robajjal beugrott a Krampus vasvillával és virgáccsal
