FRATERNITY Page 15 Our annual branch meeting was held at the residence of our Branch Manager, Jolán Abel, on February 13, 1993. It was opened by Mrs. Abel; the prayer was offered by Branch President Julia Leszko. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted as was the Treasurer’s report. We discussed various branch- related matters, and it was recommended that we visit the Bethlen Home in Ligonier, PA this summer again. The new officers for 1993 are: Julia Leszko, President; Eva Menyhárt, Vice President; Jolán Abel, Treasurer, and Susan Szabó, Secretary. Refreshments were served, and the meeting adjourned at 4:00 P.M. Susan Szabó, Secretary BRANCH 22 - YOUNGSTOWN, OH The meeting of our branch was held on February 7, 1992 at the home of Branch Manager Patricia Morey. Election of branch officers for 1993 was held. Elected were: Stephen Szabó, President; John K. Morey, Vice President; Patricia Morey, Sec-Treas. Upcoming events and dinner dates were discussed, and branch members were asked to help in all activities as much as possible. Also, Director John K. Morey mentioned that the membership was still declining. We now have a new group of officers who are dedicated to the HRFA. Anyone having any ideas are asked to get in touch with Director Morey. Since no other business was brought forward, the meeting adjourned. Patricia Morey, Branch Manager & Secretary BRANCH 45 - ELIZABETH, NJ Our Branch Manager Helen Putnoky opened the annual meeting of our branch on February 2, 1993 at 7:30 P.M. We elected the following officers for 1993: Albert Putnoky, President; Dorothy Di Antonio, Secretary. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M. The next meeting is scheduled for May 23, 1993. Dorothy Di Antonio, Secretary BRANCH 52 - SO. NORWALK, CT Our annual branch meeting was held on January 17, 1993. It was opened at 11:00 A.M. with a prayer offered by Ernest Virgulák, President of the Branch. Reports were made on the September Convention of the HRFA followed by the election of branch officers for 1993. Elected were: Ernest P. Virgulák, President; Joseph Lucskay, Vice President; Joseph Singola, Treasurer; Helen E. Sontra, Recording Secretary; Irene Kurimai, Corresponding Secretary; Andrew Hutkai, Comptroller. New Manager of the Branch is Linda Sontra Van Buskirk. The annual meeting will be held at the Hungarian Reformed Church (UCC), Norwalk, on December 5, 1993. Our branch proudly announces that Heather Leigh Kovács received a scholarship given by the New England Fraternal Congress at its annual meeting held in Sturbridge, MA in November 1992. She is the first member of Branch 52 to be chosen for this honor by the NEFC. She also received a scholarship from the HRFA. Congratulations, Heather!! Helen E.
