Since a majority of votes was needed to elect the Treasurer, a second ballot was cast between: Also, based on the recommendation of our Legal Counselor, we added to our By-Laws an Indemnification Clause, whereby the officers and board members are protected: “That all, now and former, Members of the Board of Directors and National Officers of the HRFA, named as defendants in the legal action entitled Szilagyi et al. vs. Bertalan et al. be reimbursed to the extent permitted by law for all losses incurred thereby.” The new By-Laws of our Society will be published in the upcoming issues of the Fraternity. He then explained the procedure of election.
