Albert Paul Jalso BRANCH 182 - Flint, MI On May 26th, my wife Sara and I extended an open house invitation to our National President Rev. Imre Bertalan of Washington, DC; National Director of Michigan & Canada Samuel Vespremi and his sister Louise from Allen Park, MI; Area Manager Julius Simon and his lovely wife Maria from Indiana; Agent Donald Hughes from Hadley, IN; Rev. Peter Pal Bodor, Pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church, and all its members. Everyone attended the 11 o'clock Hungarian service, except for the National President who had another commitment. After the service, we traveled to our home in Frankenmuth where our fellowship began. My wife Sara and I prepared the Hungarian food, and the ladies from the Church and Maria Simon brought a large variety of delicious-tasting pastry. Our special thanks to the ladies. The eldest lady present was Mrs. Kosa, who at the age of 92, attends church service every Sunday. Rev. Bodor said Grace. Later on in the afternoon, we discussed Federation affairs - Julius Simon and Donald Hughes introduced topics such as: how to recruit members; the new policy in force for juveniles, etc. National Director Samuel Vespremi thanked my wife Sara and me for this fellowship and asked the members to contact us for further information on the Federation, "for we are in good standing and hope to progress more in the future." Rev. Bodor mentioned the possibility of organizing a church dinner together with Federation members some time in the near future. As the evening approached, members said that it was wonderful to meet the workers of the Federation, some of whom covered a very long distance to attend this gathering. On behalf of my wife Sara and myself, I thanked everyone for coming and expressed the hope that we would have a similar gathering again. May God be with us till we meet again.
