Page 26 TESTVÉRISÉG A 379-en kívül még működik itt a 259. sz. fiók, amelynek gyűlése 2 hét múlva lesz az Első Magyar Református Egyháznál, és még működik egy fiók San Franciscóban is. Saltzer Margit most ezeket össze akarja fogni nagy ambícióval, s 800-as számot is vett. Ft. Ábrahám Dezső felhívja a figyelmet arra, hogy az Egyesület 1996-ban már 100. évfordulóját fogja ünnepelni és milyen áldásos munkát végzett a magyarság körében. Az Egyesület fejlesztését tehát magunkévá kell tenni új emberek, ügynökök és ügyvezetők bevonásával. Többen javasolják, hogy az egyházakon belül próbáljunk szervezni a lelkészek segítségével. Jenő Katona, Pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church of America in San Francisco & Vicinity The Rev. Jenő Katona was born in Nagyvárad, Transylvania. He completed his theological studies in Kolozsvár; came to the United States in the summer of 1987 and lived in Los Angeles for about three years. He actively participated in Hungarian Church life as guest minister in all the area churches and was active also in many Hungarian community activities. From Jan. 1, 1990, he became the "állandó helyettes lelkész" at the Hungarian Reformed Church, San Francisco and Vicinity, 102 Laurel Street, Redwood City, and was elected as its regular pastor on August 12, 1990. His installation service was held on April 21, 1991. Serina Audrey Csorgo-Slawinski Youngest member of Branch 379 is Serina Audrey Csorgo-Slawinski. She was born on May 5, 1990 in Vallejo, CA. She is the daughter of Zita Csorgo- Slawinski and Andrew Slawinski of Vacaville, CA. Serina's grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Lipot Csorgo are very active members of the Hungarian community in the San Francisco area. Margaret H. Saltzer, Branch Manager ST. GEORGE DISTRICT OF THE HRFA "Baby"-Jimmy Pero, born 11/15/89, and member of the HRFA was voted Baby of the Year for 1991 (two babies were picked and he was one of them). The babies were honored during ceremonies held at Phar- Mor-Center in downtown Youngstown on New Year's Eve. Jimmy is the son of Jim & Nora Pero and grandson of Evelyn Francosky. STUDENT AID News & Letters from our Student Aid Recipients: Zoltán C. Gyorffy ZOLTÁN C. GYORFFY, Member of Branch 300: "Thank you for your contribution towards my school costs. I am currently attending Florida Atlantic University and will be graduating this August in International Business, with a minor in marketing. I plan to move to Europe after graduation to take advantage of the many jobs that the European Community of 1992 will have to offer. My goal is to be successful in the international arena of business. Thank you."
