Page 22 TESTVÉRISÉG Mr. & Mrs. George Sósnak Mr. & Mrs. Sósnak were married on June 30, 1940 in Cumberland, Maryland, and the marriage was blessed on August 29, 1940 in Saints Mary and Ann Catholic Church in Marianna, PA. An Anniversary Mass was held in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in Richeyville with Rev. John P. Klein as celebrant. The children celebrated their parents' anniversary by having a dinner reception for them at St. Agnes Social Hall with 200 guests attending. They received many lovely gifts. Helen and George presented each other with gold wedding bands with five diamonds in each ring, symbolizing their five children. The children also presented their parents with gift certificates, a vacation trip to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, PA, and a steamy romance train ride in Cumberland, Maryland, along with many other beautiful gifts. Helen and George are highly respected by friends, neighbors and acquaintances as representing the finest in American life. The couple received congratulatory messages from President George Bush and his wife Barbara; Member of Congress Austin J. Murphy; State Senator J. Barry Stout; House of Representatives the Hon. Anthony L. Colaizzo and Rev. Donald Dunson from St. Vincent de Paul in Cleveland, OH. Mr. Sósnak is a retired coal miner. Both are members of the HRFA for many years. Helen Kayatin, Branch Manager BRANCH 300—WASHINGTON, D.C. For many people, the word "honeymoon" conjures up images of palm-fringed beaches and sunsets. But add crocodiles, kangaroos, freezing desert nights and a car-swallowing sandtrap or two, and you get a more off-beat adventure. Two members of Branch 300, Elizabeth Kiss (daughter of Branch Manager Eva Kiss) and her Australian husband Jeff Holzgrefe, recently returned from an 11,000 mile camping trip "Down Under" and shared their photographs and anecdotes with the folks at the Home Office. Their journey took them to snow-covered moun­tains, vivid red deserts, and tropical jungles, and brought them face-to-face with some unusual wildlife, such as wombats, koalas, spiny, egg-laying echidnas, goannas, and many lovely rainbow-hued creatures, including parrots in the rainforest and parrot fish on the Great Barrier Reef. Temperatures plunged to 20 degrees at night in the central desert and soared to the upper 90 degrees in the continent's tropical north.
