Page 12 TESTVÉRISÉG YOUTH CAMPS 1990 ■ USA AND CANADA The annual Hungarian Reformed Youth Camp was held during the week of August 12-19, 1990, at the Laurelville Mennonite Church Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. There were 67 youth and 23 staff people present. The theme for this year was, "God, What Do You Want Me To Do?" This was based on Phillipians 4:13, "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Thus the daily subtopics were sequentially designed for a step by step analysis of God's intent, human capabilities and commitment based on faith. Guest speakers included: Rev. Charles Limpár, Rev. Imre A. Bertalan, Rev. Stefán Török, Rev. Dr. Coralyn Medyesy and Bishop Zoltán Szűcs. Though much stress is placed upon spiritual guidance via the lecture format, its application is our true concern. Faith must be put into action and proven to be "Workable". The various camp activities provide the opportunity and structure for expressing the "living faith." Through workshop, work and play, the fruits of the Spirit and the bonds of love are strengthened. The campers learn to accept one another from the start at "initiations," to express themselves at the various workshops and discussion groups, to appreciate each other's talents and abilities, and to commit themselves to Christ at "consecration." As a result, many long lasting friendships have been forged between campers and staff. Those who return year after year are the best proof we have for the love of God among us. In behalf of the Youth Camp, I wish to thank the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for its Camp Directors and also Directors of the HKFA Priscilla Hvnyady and Rev. Lajos Medgyesi generous support on a yearly basis by which we are able to afford the many extras otherwise out of our reach. This is the only organization which cares for our Reformed heritage and recognizes the importance of sharing in our Christian ministry to the youth of our churches. Thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder with the churches in the service of the Lord. Louis Medgyesi, Pastor & Camp Director for the Calvin Synod Youth Camp Participants in Mount Pleasant, PA
