By: Martha Kúr ROSA RÓZSAHEGYI is a Member of Branch 2. She is pursuing her major course of study at John Carroll University in the field of Psychology. However, she will be spending her upcoming junior year participating in an international studies program at the University of Salzburg in Austria. There she will focus her attention on her minor, which is German. After a year, she hopes to become fluent in German. She feels that this can only broaden her career opportunities. A goal of hers would be to work in Europe someday utilizing her German and Hungarian skills. ANDREA S. TABOR, Member of Branch 352, was recommended for scholarship by our Branch Manager, Mr. Ed Bihary. Andrea made the Dean's list for the winter quarter at Cleveland State University where she is majoring in Elementary Education. She writes: "I would like the chance to work with the entire spectrum of students from the "At Risk" to the accelerated and gifted students. The areas of concentration are reading, science and bilingual—English as a second language —classes." In her spare time Andrea teaches English in the English language Sunday School at the Cleveland West Side Hungarian Reformed Church. She is known to be a very conscientious, capable and caring teacher. Andrea has taught a variety of age groups and abilities including gifted and accelerated students in her classes. She has prepared her own materials and involved the children in and out of class. We are grateful to her pastor, Rev. Elek Aaron, the assistant pastor, Rev. István Slakovitz and Mr. Ed Bihary for having recommended that Andrea receive a scholarship from the Federation.
