FRATERNITY Page 21 gyökkel kirakott párták és ruhák! S egyik szebb leányka volt, mint a másik! A ruháik élőiről elkápráz- tatóak voltak, de még hátulról is gyönyörűek és változatosak. A főgondnok és lelkipásztor köszöntötte kézfogással a fiatalokat, s a lelkész kérte őket arra, hogy soha ne feledjék, hogy ők reformátusok. Utána a zsúfolt templom rázendített a "Te benned biztunk" zsoltárra. De nem úgy ám, mint ahogyan mi énekeljük, hanem szépen, hajlítva. Bevallom, sírva hallgattam. S elgondoltam, hogy ezt a népet akarják kiölni, elpusztítani, elrománosítani. . . Látva a szép leány- és fiúsereget, szívem hittel telt meg. Nem érnek, nem érhetnek célt a gonosz Ceausescu emberei. Ebben a népben van akarat, őrzi tradicióit, meri vállalni a magyarságát minden áron. Hisszük, hogy a zsarnokságnak egyszer vége lesz, s a mi drága erdélyi magyar testvéreink ismét szabadabb, magyarabb életet élhetnek. Kiss Sándorné, osztálykezel'ó BRANCH 302—NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ The youngest member of Branch 302 is ISTVÁN FRANK SZALANCZY who was born on May 26, 1989 in New Brunswick, NJ. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Steve Szalanczy Jr. and the grandson of Mr. & Mrs. István Szalanczy of Somerset, NJ and the great grandson of Steve Puskas of New Brunswick. Prior to the "celebration", the "young couple" re-exchanged wedding vows during the regular church service. Guszti bácsi and Vilma néni are in excellent health. He is the "village historian and poet" whose poems were published in earlier issues of the Fraternity. Once again, we would like to congratulate and wish them good health and best to come. George Dózsa, V.P.-Secretary FEDERATION'S CONTRIBUTION TO CHURCH GROWTH In the 93-year old history of the Federation, there are hardly any Hungarian Reformed Churches in the United States that did not come to the Federation for some financial loan or assistance. I had the privilege and honor to attend the 70th Wedding Anniversary of MR. & MRS. GUSZTÁV LŐRINC in Hamilton, Ontario, on June 18, 1989. Guszti bácsi and Vilma néni were married in SZAMOSSZEG-SZATMAR county, Hungary, in June 1919. The Lőrincz family immigrated to Canada in the early 1920's.
