Korán felismerte, hogy az amerikai magyar református élet magasra ívelésének titka a két szárny: Egyház és Egyesület. Az egyházi épitkezést mindenütt megkönnyebbítette az Egyesület által nyújtott jelzálog kölcsön. Nemcsak gyülekezetét szolgálja nagy szeretettel, de a gondjaira bízott egyesületi osztályt is. Illesse elismerés és hála a hűséges pásztort, dicséret és dicsőség az ő szolgálatával minket megajándékozó Istent. PENNSYLVANIA NEWS The third annual HRFA picnic was held on Sunday, July 16, 1989 in Ligonier, PA. The rain had almost ruined this annual event when the sun did finally come out to brighten a busy and fun-filled day. Early Sunday morning we rushed to the Bethlen Home picnic area to begin the extensive preparations. George Dózsa, Vice President, attended to the bogrács, with his helpers from New Jersey, the Rev. Dezső Abraham, his lovely wife and her two sisters. Also the Varga family from West Virginia, Director László Lipoczky from New Jersey and Joseph Király from the Magyar Park were busy making dough for the langos. László and Arpad Kostal posted signs in town and then lit the grills for the cookout and bacon fry. After peeling potatoes and carrots, Rev. Dezső Abraham had to hurry to change his raincoat for his robe. The Rev. John Butosi and Rev. Zoltán Kovács waited to preach the gospel at the little church which was already filled with people. During the church service, Rev. Butosi referred to the day not as a picnic, but as a pilgrimage —a "Homecoming to Moriah Mountain." People were arriving all day long from various distances. Sam and Louise Vespremi came all the way from Michigan, other faithful picnicers traveled from West Virginia, Ohio (Cleveland, Lorain, Youngstown), Pennsylvania (Brownsville, McKeesport, Duquesne,
