Magyar Református templom jubileumi ünnepségével. Osztályunkat az Osztály Elnöke, Bujtor Pista bácsi és kedves felesége képviselte és átadta az osztály jókívánságait és ajándékát. "Hogy értékesítsük a festiválról megmaradt kolbászt az East Chicago-i Katolikus templomnál nagysikerű hurka-kolbász ebédet rendeztünk szintén a környező osztályok nevében. A templom tiszta haszna 345 dollár volt. A chicago-i magyar cserkészcsapat javára rendezett bálra a meghívásnak nem tudtunk eleget tenni elfoglatságunk miatt. Nemes céljuk támogatására elküldtük osztályunk ajándékát. Terveink az év hátralévő részére egy ünnepi hurkavásár, hogy növeljük osztályunk pénztárán Kovács Mária, Titkár BRANCH 67—SHARON, PA William Szuch, President of Branch 67 is shown presenting checks from members of the branch to Sherry Humberston, Activity Director of the Bethlen Home. Branch 67 has proudly supported and worked for the Bethlen Home Bazaar since the first one was held. Other items were also donated. The Bazaar was well attended. BRANCH 84—CHICAGO, ILL Helen Szuch, Secretary On May 31st, the Calvin Reformed Church of Lynwood, ILL. held a memorial day service honoring the men who lost their lives serving their country in WWII. Rev. L. Kovács conducted this moving service. Branch 84 provided the flags which flanked two aisles, adding to the beauty of the sanctuary. Coffee and cake and fellowship were enjoyed afterward. On September 12 & 13, Branches 17, 62, 84 & 154 joined together in creating two booths at the Hammond food fest. One booth sold homemade kolbász sandwiches and the second booth sold homemade nut and poppyseed rolls. All four branches enjoyed the work involved in this project.
