Page 14 TESTVÉRISÉG BRANCH 151 — BEAVER FALLS, PA BRANCH 227 — WARREN, OH President Paul Farkas opened the annual election meeting held at Director Andy Csoman’s house on June 30,1987 with a prayer. The following were elected: Paul Farkas, President; Zoltán Kovács, Vice President; Alex Varady, Treasurer; Peg Fabri, Secretary; Frank Wilson, Sr., Comptroller. Plans were discussed regarding a picnic in West Mayfield Park as well as a Christmas Party in December and possibly taking teenagers on an overnighter to the Csomans’ cottage. There are also plans for a dinner-dance in Pittsburgh and the participation in a block party in Beaver Falls. The next meeting will be held sometime in the fall. Vigh Julius istentiszteletet tartott, amelyen részt vett az osztály sok tagja. Utána a pap kerth­elyiségében szeretetvendégséget és összejövetelt tartottunk két ifjú tagunk tiszteletére, akik most kapták meg a középiskolai diplomájukat. A lelkipásztor, az osztály elnöke angolul és magyarul imádkozott. A két diák 20-20 dolláros adományt kapott. Vigh Joan, Titkár BRANCH 197 — SPRINGDALE, PA The Federation has a “Disaster Aid Fund” to help mem­bers when quick financial assistance is needed. Thus we were able to come to the help of the Johnson family who had suffered tragic and financial loss due to a severe fire. “Losing all of your possessions is a tragedy, but minimal compared to the loss of a loved-one, which we were very fortunate not to have happen,” wrote the Johnsons, “Mr. Szuch was very shocked when he came to collect for the insurance and found nothing but a level lot. We thank Francis Szuch for notifying you and appreciate the thought­fulness. The outpouring of love from everyone is very heart warming and again, we would like to let you know how much your gift of caring is appreciated.” Louis Szuch, Branch Manager Left to right: Fran Szuch, Irene and Robert Johnson Vikki Nicholas, daughter of Bill & Marge Nicholas, was one of the seniors who was honored on June 6, 1987 at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Warren, OH, following a morning service by Rev. Marge Nicholas, Branch Manager Honoring of Seniors at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Warren, OH BRANCH 238 — YOUNGSTOWN, OH Our church and branch members attended our annual picnic which was held on July 5, 1987 at the Mineral Ridge Picnic grounds. The members brought their own picnic baskets and there were many delicious foods to be shared. We all had a very enjoyable time. We adjourned from activities in August but will resume with our annual Ladies’ Aid board games to be held on September 13, 1987. We held our meeting after our church services on Sun­day, September 6, 1987. The meeting was opened by our President Tilly Tatar with a prayer. Branch Manager, Margaret Dubos gave a report on the new SPWL plan now available and discussed the lower rates on all certificates since the new CSO table came into effect. She also mentioned that all of the premiums should be paid quarterly. She also discovered that some members were not receiving the Fraternity, so she wrote down their names and addresses to send in the information to the Fraternity. She reminded all of the church and branch members to observe September 16, 1987 as our National Celebration of Citizenship by paying tribute to our Constitution.
