Washington, DC 20036 The front cover shows the first charter that was issued in the State of Ohio on August 2, 1899. It is worth mentioning that the name of the Federation was spelled out in Hungarian, namely “The Amerikai Magyar Reformatus Egyesület” which was translated as “The Federation of the Reformed Faith in America. ” This is an indication that a close tie always existed between the churches and the Federation. Each branch received such a charter with its respective lodge number. This rare piece of document is now in our possession, and it would be greatly appreciated if we received similar archive material for our Figonier collection. On the outside back cover you will see a passport that has been sent to us for our Ligonier collection. Please look in your attic and see if there is anything in your opinion worth preserving for our future generation. We ask you not to hesitate to send any material to either the Home Office or to the Bethlen Home Archives & Museum directly.
