BRANCH 269 - PERTH AMBOY Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz opened the annual election meeting with a prayer. The following were elected: Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz, president; Rev. Bela Poznan, vice president; Gizella Lenart, treasurer; Vilma Vitéz, secretary. Plans for the next meeting to be held in the John Calvin Reformed Church were made. Vilma Vitéz, secretary BRANCH 281 - WADSWORTH Following the opening prayer at the annual election meeting by Steve Savage, the following persons were elected as officers: Billy Savage, president; Carl R. Savage, vice president; Phyllis Evans, treasurer; Carol Moore, secretary. A general discussion on membership followed, whereby it was agreed that a membership drive will be set up to encourage the enrollment of new members. Stronger participation in upcoming events and seminars was stressed. Sharon Savage, retiring secretary BRANCH 295 - AURORA After many years of faithful service as branch manager of the Federation, Mrs. Irene Z. Ka- koezki, decided to resign due to health reasons. We thank Mrs. Kakoczki for having served the Federation so well and in such a dedicated way throughout the years. Mrs. Lorie Takacs, who is manager of Branch 100, has willingly agreed to take care of Branch 295, too. We are very grateful to Lorie for having accepted this additional service. BRANCH 300 - WASHINGTON, DC Ébner István, a washingtoni osztálv elnöke, nyilvános osztálygyűlés keretében előadást tartott a magyarországi svábok történetéről, különös tekintettel a második világháborút követő kitelepítésükről, melynek a magyarság egy igen értékes rétege lett áldozata. Előadó a legjelentősebb forrásmunkák alapján tárta fel a háborút követő időszak történetének ezt az eléggé nem ismert, szomorú fejezetét. A Magyarország iránti hűséges német hátterű polgárok érzésvilágát leghűségesebben az itt közölt költemény fejezi ki. Szerzője az osztály- elnök néhai édesanyja.
