A delicious luncheon followed in the dining room, after which we had the opportunity to sit in the patio area or stroll the grounds, enjoying the afternoon sun. The visit was very informative, and it gave everyone the chance to see, first-hand, the work being done at the Bethlen Home. Clothing for residents and craft items for the Bazaar were also donated by several members at this time. The warm and friendly hospitality which was extended to us during this visit will long be remembered by the travellers. At our annual meeting, held on Sunday, December 1, 1985, the following officers were elected for 1986: Ernest P. Virgulák — president, Joseph Lucskay — vice president, Elizabeth Szocs — corresponding secretary, Suzanne S. Virgulák — recording secretary, Joseph Singola — treasurer, Andrew Hut- kai — controller. Donations made during 1985 included the Student Aid Fund ($100.00); the Bethlen Home ($50.00); the Statue of Liberty Fund ($150.00); Hungarian Reformed Church of South Norwalk, CT ($100.00); and the Sunday School of the Hungarian Reformed Church ($25.00). Activities for 1986 will include a one-day trip to Newport, RI (mansion tours) and two one-day trips to Atlantic City. Also, in the final planning stages, is the 90th Anniversary Banquet of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, to be held on Sunday, June 29, 1986, at the Bessemer Center, Bridgeport, CT.
