FRATERNITY Page 13 The secretary reported that the annual Bazaar of the Bethlen Home will be Saturday and Sunday, November 2 and 3, 1985. Donations and crafts are being accepted from members. Mr. & Mrs. Elmer E. Vargo, Vice President-Secretary of the Federation donated Uncut Treasury Bill Plaques which will be raffled for the benefit of the Bethlen Home. During the September meetings in Ligonier, Betty Vargo and Helen Szuch sold tickets in advance to those attending the meetings. The President reported that the branch manager and agent attended seminars held in Pittsburgh by Joseph Tegze, National Director of Sales. With no further business a motion was made and properly seconded to close the meeting. The meeting was closed with a prayer by the President. Helen Szuch, secretary 181. OSZTÁLY - Grand Rapids, Ml Április 6-án, este 6 órakor Grand Rapids-ben „baby shower”-t tartottak, ifj. Vigh Gyula lelki- pásztor elnökletével. A megnyitó imát Mrs. Zita Vigh, a lelkipásztor felesége, képesített misszionárius mondotta. Az összejövetel a női tagok kezdeményezésére egy rokon nagy otthonában, vacsorával egybekötve zajlott le. Örömmel állapították meg, hogy Alex Váraljai tagtársuk az operációja után otthon van, akit néhányszor meglátogattak a kórházban. Mrs. Sandy Bell és újszülött gyermeke is jól van. Az Osztály meghívást kapott Kocsondv Zoltán tagtárstól az Erdély című film bemutatójára a Western Michigan Hungarian Care Club rendezésében. A film kölcsönzésére 10 dollárt adakoztak, valamint a magyarországi lajosmizsei templom renoválására 25 dollárt. Összes kiadás 35 dollár volt. Május 25-én 2 órakor Troy, Michigan-ben emlékpikniket tartottak. Ifj. Vigh Gyula lelkipásztor elnökölt. 9 felnőtt és 8 fiatalkorú volt jelen. Mrs. Margaret Vigh, elhunyt tagtársunk emlékére 50 dollárt adományoztak a maglódi református egyház fenntartására, mivel Mrs. Vigh ott született és ott volt a házasságkötése is. Június 23-án a Varga farmon, Kalamazoo, Michigan-ben tartották meg piknikjüket. A nyitó imát és az angol-magyar szolgálatot Nt. Posta József Kalamazoo-i lelkész végezte. A két hónapja Erdélyből érkezett Nt. Henter Lajos lelkipásztor bemutatkozott és üdvözlő beszédet mondott. Utána a Grand Rapids-i és Kalamazoo-i tagok közösen élvezték a nyárson sütött csirkét és töltött káposztát. Bár kisebb záporok némi zavart okoztak, de utána szép napsütésben a késő délutáni órákig társalogtak a tagok egymással, s mindenki épségben hazakerült. BRANCH 235 - Pittsburgh, PA At the election meeting the following officers were elected: Peter K. Vanderburgh, president; Renee Cina, vice president; Jacqueline C. Vanderburgh, secretary. Robert S. Cina is branch manager. BRANCH 151 - Beaver Falls, PA Gabor Wilson is a recent graduate of Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. His sister, Ilonka is a graduate of Beaver County Community College, with an Associates Degree in Hi-Tech Communications. They are the children of Helen and Frank Wilson. The entire family are members of the Federation.
