congratulated for his excellent work and the con­vention released him of responsibility for the past four years. Upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee the convention expressed its thanks to Mr. Joseph S. Molnár Treasurer and released him from all responsibility for the past four years. In accordance with the recommendation of the Executive Committee the convention voted the fol­lowing annual donations: $24,000.00 to the Bethlen Home’s Building Fund; $1,000.00 to the Youth Camp of Calvin Synod and $1,000.00 to the Youth Camp of the HRCA; $1,000.00 to Calvin Synod Herald and $1,000.00 to the Magyar Church publications; $1,200,- 00 to the American Hungarian Federation; $1,000.00 to the American Hungarian Foundation. It was also unanimously voted that the domiciled status of the HRFA remain in the District of Columbia. The con­vention congratulated Rt. Rev. Arpad George and Mr. Elmer E. Vargo for their services and released them from all responsibility for the past four years. The convention extended the honorary titles to the retired officers: Dr. Francis Újlaki, Honorary Pre­sident, Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Szabó, Rev. Tibor Toth and Mr. Stephen Syposs Honorary Vice Presi­dents and Rev. Joseph Kecskemethy, Honorary Sec­retary. The convention also voted honorary titles for President George and Executive Vice President Eszenyi. The salary and expense allowances of the Field Force will be determined by the Board of Di­rectors at the next regular meeting scheduled to be held on September 4th in Ligonier, Pa. The Resolution of the William Penn Association with respect to consolidation of the Federation and the William Penn Association was read to the mem­bers of the convention. Secretary Vargo read the recommendation of the Board of Directors of the Federation to the members of the convention asking for further action. Second Class Postage Paid at the Post Office in Ligonier, Pa. 15658. “A) The President appoint a committee to serve as fact-finders and further investigate and explore the issue of consolidation with the William Penn Association. Said committee shall consist of the National Officers, one Vice President, three members of the Board of Directors, and three Field Force members. The Legal Counsellor, Financial Advisor and Actuary shall also serve on said committee, but without the right of vote. B) Upon completion of said investigation and fact­finding, said committee shall meet with the Board of Directors of the Federation and give their report and findings. C) The report and findings of the committee, to­gether with the recommendations of the Board of Directors, shall be forwarded to the delegates of the Thirty-First Quadrennial Convention of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. In the event that the Board of Directors shall approve a consolidation with the William Penn Association by a two-thirds majority vote, a special convention of the above mentioned dele­gates shall be called in accordance with the By- Laws of the Federation and the matter of con­solidation shall be submitted to said convention for final resolution.” To the approval of the convention the President appointed the following members to serve on the committee: Rev. Imre Bertalan, President; Elmer E. Vargo, Vice President-Secretary; Joseph S. Molnár, Treasurer; William Szuch, Vice President; Rt. Rev. Tibor Dömötör, Rev. Gabor Csordás, Charles Modory Directors; William B. Puskas, Sr., and László V. Kernes Area Managers and Joseph Molnár, Jr., Dis­trict Manager. The second plenary session ended with the closing prayer offered by Vice President William Aros. The third plenary session was held on June 26th. It was opened with a devotional service conducted by the Rt. Rev. Bishop Dezső Abraham. Secretary Vargo presented the recommendation of the Board of Directors that the convention adopt the best available computerization system for frater­nal insurance organizations. After a lengthy discus­sion the convention voted to table the issue of com­puterization “due to the fact that the compensation of the field force was not finalized and also the pendency of the investigation into the issue of con­solidation with the William Penn Association.” A printed copy of the proposed revisions and amendments to the By-Laws of the Federation recom­mended by the Board of Directors was given to the 5
