More than 80 ministers and congregational delegates participated in the meeting under the chairmanship of Bishop John Butosi. The meeting opened with the traditional worship service and communion at the Chapel of the Bethlen Home in Ligonier, Pa. At 11:00 P.M. the president of HRFA extended the greetings of the HRFA to the Calvin Synod. He invited the members of Calvin Synod to be the guests of the HRFA for the Tuesday lunch in the Holiday Inn. Therefore, the Conference Council be authorized to enter into negotiations with the HRFA regarding the use of the Children’s Home buildings of the Bethlen Home.
