m. The Committee recommended that proper farewell and monetary gifts be presented to branch managers leaving the service of the Federation. Adopted. 86. Mr. Frank Dance and Imre Bogár moved that the Convention give release to the National Officers for the work of the past four years. Unanimously adopted. 87. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Szabó, Vice President, was elected temporary Chairman of the Convention unanimously and charged with the duty to conduct the Convention. 88. President Beky with the approval of the Convention appointed the Nominating Committee. (See Exhibit L.) The Nominating Committee was accepted unanimously. 89. President Beky instructed the Nominating Committee to begin the work immediately after receiving the applicants qualification from the Board of Directors and report hack to the Convention when the work is completed. 90. At this point Controller Eszenyi, Director Elmer Vargo and Rt. Rev. Bishop Beretz withdrew their names from further consideration for the office of President. Mr. Gyula Gal withdrew his name too. 91. After giving further instructions to the Nominating Committee President Beky recessed the Convention at 11:05 A.M. until 2 P.M. 92. President Beky reconvened the Convention at 2 P.M. 93. Temporary Chairman Dr. Szabó took the chair and called for the report of the Nominating Committee. 94. Chairman Tibor Toth, Vice President, called on Rev. Csordás, Secretary of the Committee, to present the report. Nominees for President: Rev. Imre Bertalan and Rt. Rev. Arpad George. The vote was taken, the result was a 37-37 tie. Temporary chairman Dr. Szabó voted for Rev. Arpad George and declared him as the duly elected President of the Federation. Nominees for Executive Vice President: Only László Eszenyi was nominated. Mr. Eszenyi was elected by acclamation. Nominees for Secretary: Elmer Vargo and Dr. Antal Viczian. Mr. Elmer Vargo was elected. Nominees for Treasurer: Mr. Joseph Molnár and Dr. Antal Viczian were nominated. Mr. Joseph Molnár was elected. The following were nominated for the 3 Vice President position: Bishop Dezső Abraham, William Aros, Charles Modory, Rev. Dezső Parragh, William Szuch. Bishop Abraham, William Aros and William Szuch were elected. 95. Words of appreciation were expressed by the new National Officers: Rt. Rev. Arpad George, President, László Eszenyi, Executive Vice President, Elmer Vargo, Secretary, Joseph Molnár, Treasurer and in the name of the Vice Presidents by Rt. Rev.
