Our organizers are selling them successfully. b) We supported our Youth Camps: Calvin Synod and Bethlen Youth Federation (Hungarian Reformed Church in America with $1,000-11,000 and in Canada $300.00. c) We provided $4,000 for Student Aids. d) We granted $8,000 for Student Loans. e) We held Study Contests and paid $4,000 to the winners including the Summer Schools. f) We donated $24,000 annually to our Bethlen Home. g) We supported the American Hungarian Fed­eration with $2,400 annually. h) We contributed $1,500 annually to the Hun­garian Studies Foundation. i) We sent a gift of $2,000 to the “Heart and Lung” machine in Hungary and $500.00 to the Sáros­patak College. THE NEW WING OF THE BETHLEN HOME Our great accomplishment has been the construc­tion of a new wing of the Bethlen Home and the renovation of the Old Building in accordance with State requirements at a cost of $750,000. Our Home is now the most modern state approved “Nursing Home”, where we care for 100 infirm, sick and aged brothers and sisters. We are giving them 24 hour nursing care with the help of 40 nurses. 80 YEARS ANNIVERSARY We are celebrating the 80th Anniversary of our Federation nationwide in the year of the American Bicentennial in the spirit of thanksgiving to God. Celebrations are in progress. XXXth CONVENTION We have called our Quadrennial Convention in accordance with our Constitution. Smaller branches were integrated for purposes of electing delegates. We have announced the application deadline for Executive Offices. The elections of delegates were held and the Board of Directors approved them except for one case, where a new election was ordered. The Convention has 75 voting members — dele­gates and ex-officio members. AMENDMENTS OF THE BY-LAWS In order to amend the By-Laws the Board has appointed a “Special Committee” which is charged with the screening of proposals submitted by our Branches. MUSEUM - ARCHIVES We are planning to convert the Press Building into a museum. Preparations are in progress. CHAPEL The roof of our Chapel was leaking, and its side was damaged by termites. It was necessary to make repairs. We have contracted the work for $20,000 and we hope that it will be finished by the date of our Convention. THE RESIGNATION OF REV. K. CSIA Due to reasons of health the Rev. Kalman Csia, Overseer of the Old Age Home resigned. Both Rev. and Mrs. Csia served our Institution with unparalleled loyalty and dedication for more than 15 years. In accordance with the By-Laws I have advertised for applications to fill the vacancy and summoned a 7
