80th ANNIVERSARY NATIONAL YOUTH STUDY CONTEST

of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America

The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America is sponsoring a national study contest during the summer of 1976 for its student members preparing for college or attending college and university on the occasion of its 80th Anniversary and 30th Convention.

1. A total amount of $1,800.00 will be given as an award to winners equally distributed among our four promotional districts.

I. New York - Connecticut - Canada II. New Jersey - Eastern Pennsylvania

III. Ohio - Western Pennsylvania

iV. Detroit - Chicago - California

The amount of awards per district: I. $300.00 — If. $100.00 — III. $50.00 — IV. Extra awards according to merit.

2. Study themes may be selected from the following subject matter:

a. ) The religious, social, fraternal and charitable

work of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America during 80 years of its history.

b. ) Contributions of Hungarians to the history and

progress of the United States during the past 200 years (Bicentennial).

c. ) Individual Hungarian work in science, sociology

and art, poems or short stories.

3. Contestants may use the English or Hungarian language, limited to 6-7 typewritten pages, or maximum of 3,000 words.

4. Any student member of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America preparing for college or attending college or university who were instrumental in bringing in at least two new members or have recommended at least two prospects for membership into the Federation may participate in the study contest.

The contestants are requested to fill out the attached entry blank and mail same at the latest by April 30, 1976 to the following address:

The study themes must be mailed to the Home Office by August 1, 1976.

ORSZÁGOS JUBILEUMI TANULMÁNYI VERSENY

Az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesület 80.-ik jubileumi és közgyűlési évében egyetemre készülő vagy már egyetemi hallgató tagjai számára jubileumi ifjúsági tanulmányi versenyt rendez az 1976.-ik esztendő nyarán.

1. A pályadíjak összege: $1,800.00 melyet szervezési kerületenként adunk ki a pályadíj nyerteseinek:

III. Ohio - Nyugat Pennsylvania

IV. Detroit - Chicago - California

Pályadíjak: I. $300.00 — II. $100.00 — III. $50.00 és a IV. érdem szerinti külön jutalom.

2. Pályatételek választhatók a következő témakörből :

a. ) A Református Egyesület 80 éves történelmének

egyházi, társadalmi, testvérsegítő és szeretet

munkájának rövid ismertetése.

b. ) Amerika 200 éves történelmében az amerikai

magyarság szerepe.

c. ) Magyar jellegű egyéni tudományos, társadalmi

vagy művészi munka, vers vagy novella.

3. írásbeli pályázatok angol vagy magyar nyelven Írandók gépírással maximum 3000 (6-7 oldal) szó.

4. Pályázhatnak az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesületnek egyetemre készülő vagy már egyetemi hallgató tagjai, akik legalább két új tagot felvesznek, vagy felvételre ajánlanak (prospect) az Egyesületnek.

A pályázók töltsék ki a mellékelt jelentkezési lapot és legkésőbb 1776 április 30-ig az alábbi címre küldjék
