From the report of Superintendent Nagy we were happy to learn that the modernization of the old building was completed. The old building and the new wing was inspected and approved with commendation by the Pennsylvania Welfare Department and all the rooms of the new wing were already occupied by the new residents. The contributions received for the Building Fund exceeded our expectations. On the following days the fall meeting of the Board of Directors of the HRFA was held in Ligonier. The National Officers made the reports of their respective departments. Important resolutions were voted concerning our 1976 convention scheduled to be held on June 28-July 2, 1976 in Ligonier, Pa. The Secretary gave a detailed report of the Sales Seminar and also presented an encouraging report about the promotional work and production of the Field Force. The Secretary received the resignation of Mr. John Rigo from his branch manager position of our Homestead branch No. 6 in January. He asked Mr. Rigo to do the collecting until a new manager will replace him. He agreed, did his work efficiently until Mrs. Rose Kovács accepted the position. Mr. Rigo deserves all recognition and praise for his dedicated Branch Manager services rendered for many decades. We extend our congratulations to Mr. László Kernes, our Ohio District Manager as the newly elected president of the United Hungarian Societies of Cleveland, Ohio. He had the distin- guihsed honor to be elected to this high posittion by the 54 churches and organizations in the Greater Cleveland area. 1976 will be the 80th anniversary of the HRFA. 80th Anniversary Dinner-Dance Banquets and Cultural Festivals are planned by the Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cleveland and New Jersey branches. The Secretary held a promotional meeting with the Rev. Dr. Arthur A. Ludwig, Section Manager and the Chicago area branch managers in the fellowship hall of the Indiana Harbor Hungarian Reformed Church. Father Alphonse Skerl showed the movies he took at the dedication worship service, rooms, furnishing, equipment and therapy machines of the New Wing building. * * * BRANCH GROUPINGS Paragraph No. 57 of our By-Laws states that: “Each branch shall hold meetings monthly at a place and time set by the branch. One of the monthly meetings shall be the regular annual meeting.” Following the 1972 convention the Secretary sent circulars in 1973, 1974 and 1975 to every branch manager quoting paragraph No. 57 of our By-Laws. The Secretary requested the date, time, place and address of the monthly held branch meeting be stated on the enclosed forms. After three years of correspondence many branch managers stated in writing that their branches cannot hold monthly meetings. Many branch managers year after year ignored the request of the Secretary and sent no response to the communications. FinaRy, on the basis of negative or no replies the Board of Directors approved the following branch groupings in order to comply with our By-Laws: CALIFORNIA GROUP 1. 301—Phoenix, Arizona ............................. to be 379-A (379—Hollywood) NEW JERSEY GROUP 1. 307—Cliffside ............................................. to be 13-A (13—Passaic) 19
