1 FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION AT LISZT FERENC ZENEFŐISKOLA Miss Cheryl and Alexandria Kemeny enrolled at the Liszt Ferenc “Zenefőiskola” in Budapest to further their studies in music. Miss Cheryl received her “Bachelor of Music” from the University of Hartford, Conn. Miss Alexandria is a student in her second year, working for her “Bachelor in Voice Degree” at the Western Connecticut State College. They are members of our Branch No. 52 in South Norwalk, Conn., where Mr. Andrew Kurimai is our Branch Manager, and also a member of our Board of Directors. oATTENDED HUNGARIAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN SÁROSPATAK Rt. Rev. Dr. John Butosi with Kathryn Dudás, Joan Bukoczi and Sharene Soivich The three girls spent five weeks at the Academy in Sárospatak last summer learning to speak, read 22 and write in Hungarian, and also took courses in literature, history, music and art. The courses were designed to help young people of Hungarian background retain their heritage and to identify with their Magyar ancestry. They are members of our Branch No. 52, So. Norwalk, Conn., where Mr. Andrew Kurimai is our Branch Manager and also member of our Board of Directors. LOUIS VARGO — 1904-1973 All of us were saddened to hear the shocking news that Louis Vargo, a faithful and dedicated member of our Federation, beloved father of our Director Elmer E. Vargo, had passed away on December 28, 1973. Mr. Vargo was a life-long member, officer of our Branch No. 2 in Cleveland, Ohio, delegate to our conventions on several occasions, and very active in various fraternal and church organizations. Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Vargo by our Vice-president Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Szabó on December 31, at the First Hungarian Reformed Church before a full congregation. Our Federation was represented by Directors William Aros and William Szuch. Mr. Vargo is survived by his wife Rebecca — nee Tóth — with whom he had lived happily for 49 years, by his three sons, Louis of Jacksonville, Florida, Elmer of Seven Hills, Ohio, member of our Board of Directors, Robert J. of Bedford, Ohio, and seven grandchildren. We express our sincere sympathy to the bereaved family and wish them Gods consolation and comfort in their sorrow. CHURCH DEDICATION IN LAKELAND, FLORIDA The new church was built by one of our most outstanding clergyman, Rev. Stephen Balogh. The Church was dedicated by Rt. Rev.
