NATIONAL YOUTH STUDY CONTEST

of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America

The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America is sponsoring a national study contest during the summer of 1973 for its student members preparing for college or attending college and university.

1. A total amount of $1,750.00 will be given as an award to winners equally distributed among our four promotional districts.

1. New York - Connecticut - Canada III. Ohio - West Pennsylvania

II. New Jersey - East Pennsylvania IV. Detroit - Chicago - California

The amount of awards per disti’ict: I. $300.00 - 11. $100.00 - III. $50.00 - IV.

Extra awards according to merit.

2. Study themes may be selected from the following subject matters:

a. The contribution made by American Hungarians in the historical and cultural development of America.

b. The religious, social, fraternal and charitable work of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America.

c. Petőfi’s study on the 150th anniversary of his birth.

d. Outstanding individual Hungarian work in science, sociology and art.

3. Contestants may use the English or Hungarian language, limited to 6-7 typewritten pages, or maximum of 3000 words.

4. Any student member of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America preparing for college or attending college and university who were instrumental in bringing at least two new members or have recommended at least two prospects for membership into the Federation may participate in the study contest.

The contestants are requested to fill out the attached entry blank and mail same at the latest by July 30, 1973 to the following address:

The study themes must be mailed to the Home Office by August 20, 1973.
