STUDENT LOAN FUND JUDGE ALEX B. EGER, JR. Continued drop in our juvenile membership and their disinterest for our fraternal aims and goals indicate that the Federation is no exception: we are also struggling with the problem of the generation gap. We must explain to our young people the beneficial effects of fratcr- nalism on both the religious and ethnic activities. We shall regain their confidence and trust in order to secure their invaluable cooperation. Without well informed and dedicated young members the future of our congregations and the Federation is dark, indeed. The delegates of our last Convention felt that we may best fill the generation gap by showing to our juvenile members that WE CARE. If they realize that the Federation offered financial support and spiritual guidance during their years of struggle, they will care also for our institutions and Churches. It was therefore unanimously resolved that a STUDENT LOAN FUND be established to help our student members with demonstrated need. We announce the conditions of the student loan as follows: ELIGIBILITY 1. Applicant must he a member of the Federation in good standing holding at least $1,000.00 basic life insurance; 2. It is required that at least one of the parents, or the guardian be a member of the Federation in good standing holding at least $1,000.00 basic life insurance; 3. Applicant must be accepted by, or attending a college or university on full time basis. Students attending night schools, or continuing studies through a correspondence course are not eligible; 4. Parents must make a confidential statement about their financial standing in the application for loan; 5. Applications will be examined and loans granted by the Executive Committee of the Federation. Loans will be paid directly to the applicants. Application forms for loan may be obtained by writing from: The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America STUDENT AID FUND 3216 New Mexico Avenue, N.
