CLEVELAND BETHLEN BENEFIT BALL WELL REPRESENTED BY THE HUNGARIAN REFORMED FEDERATION OF AMERICA By Elmer E. Vargo, Ohio Director It was a gala evening for all attending the Bethlen Benefit Ball held on Saturday, April 4, 1970. This is an annual affair sponsored by The Women’s Guild of The First Hungarian Reformed Church and is held for the benefit of The Bethlen Home in Ligonier. Special praise and thanks are to be extended to the members of The Women’s Guild for their untiring ef- and fine work and promotion of this event. As we are all aware, without tne dedicated and loyal support from such members, it would not be possible for our Church to attempt such entertainment and have such successful affairs. The Chairman was Mrs. Joseph Vargo and the Co- chairman, Mrs. John Teigiser along with the Hostesses. We were very fortunate to have with us for the evening, the four National Officers of our Federation. They were in Cleveland for the Section and District meetings and remained with us for the Dance. Also in attendance were our Vice President, Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Szabó; my fellow Ohio Director and Mrs. William Aros from Lorain and Pennsylvania Director and Mrs. William Szuch from Sharon, Pa. On Sunday, April 5th we were honored to have Rev. Louis Nagy, Superintendent of The Bethlen Home and Rev. Arpad George, National Secretary deliver the sermons in Hungarian and English, respectively. Our president, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Zoltán Beky, conducted services in the West Side Hungarian Reformed Church. We appreciate all of the support given to our Bethlen Home and invite you, one and all, to become a member of The Hungarian Reformed Federation. REMEMBER—IN UNION THERE IS STRENGTH —and with this thought we would like you to help strengthen our membership rolls so that we can continue to carry on our Charitable work. Please join our Federation and make it yours. A call to our District Office at 421-5656 will get you any additional information you may require.
