English Section: (Easíter Easter is the greatest Holyday of the Christian World. It is the day of faith, hope and love and new life. Without faith and hope there is no life and no future. Without a strong belief in the risen Lord, there is no Christianity. I have heard a man speaking at a banquet, not long ago, who came from a little town in Maine. He said that a great dam was being built there, and someone told the people that the town will be flooded. From that time, he said, all the improvements and repairs in the whole town were stopped. What was the use of repairing, painting of houses if it were to be covered with water? Why repair anything when the whole village was to be wiped out? So week by week, the whole town became more and more be- dragled, more gone to seed, more woe-begone. Then he said by way of explanation: Where there is no faith, and no hope in God and in the future, there is no power in the present. Our world today is very much like that little town in Maine. And the people are similar to the people of that little town: without faith, and without hope. Easter brings us the message of a new hope, faith and new life. The risen Lord declares: "Don’t be afraid, I live and ye shall live also.” But if you look around in the world today, you will see that the whole world is full of fear, hopelessness and despair. Many people are very close to despair. Very close to despair over the possibility of the GREAT FLOOD: THE COMMUNISM AND THE THIRD WORLD WAR which will wipe out the whole human race from the planet. There are some couples who are even refusing to have children, because they fear they would just be blown to bits, or enslaved, or poisoned by the atheist ideals. This is the consequence of the lack of faith and hope in our Almighty God, who had power to raise his Son from death. This is a completely un-christian attitude un-christian state of mind and heart. It practically says that God is dead or will not be a factor in the world from now on. Though, we should not minimize the seriousness of the hour, or pretend that it is not dangerous at all. BUT IF WE ARE CHRISTIANS, if we are followers of the risen and living Lord: WE MUST BELIEVE IN GOD. WE MUST HAVE STRONG FAITH AND HOPE IN HIM. We must not leave GOD out of our world. FOR THE FINAL QUESTION IS NOT WHAT THE DICTATORS ARE GOING TO DO, BUT WHAT GOD IS GOING TO DO. OUR WORLD HAS NOT SLIPPED OUT OF GOD’S HANDS. IT IS STILL IN HIS SHAPING HANDS. Easter is here and proclaims that all broken lives are in the hands of God and the whole sinful world is in the hands of God and he who had power to bring his Son out of the grave, will save you, and will give you a new life, and a new world free from fear, and death and damnation. Have faith in Him because He lives and you shall live also. B. The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America ivishes a happy and blessed Easter to all its Members and Friends. PAUL ST. MIKLOSSY DR.
